  1. So glad everything was ok and now you can move on to a healthier future!
  2. Thanks!! Glad you like them! I'll post the recipe when I get home but here is the nutritional info. I like that it is puréed before baking so it doesn't look like mush.
  3. Wow small world I live in York! Only 30 mins from you! My surgery was on 7/11/12 so almost a month out. I'm getting ready to be more aggressive with exercise. What do you do? And did you ease into exercising or just jump right in?
  4. Agreed. Definitely call your doctor they will either give you encouragement or take a look at you. But I would be suspicious of an ulcer. Good luck!
  5. Everyone is different. My nurse put one on me and the next day my dr got upset bc he didn't want me to wear it. He said only for opens, not lap. In prior surgeries it was 4 weeks.
  6. Had a drain for 8 days. It didn't hurt at all to have it pulled out. I've had them before after a csection and didn't hurt them either. Don't worry they aren't as bad as everyone thinks!
  7. At this point it would be almost impossible for you to go way over a reasonable amount of calories so don't stress too much. Like losingit said every group is different but protein and hydration are the bigger goals at this point.
  8. Yes. So many people say that the dr did all the work on the left and that was where they are sore but mine did all the work on the right and that is where my largest site was. Maybe yours did too.
  9. I tried calorie king and my fitness pal. Stuck with my fitness pal. Liked it much better. It also works with fit bits. Plan on havin Santa bring me one!
  10. Where do you get that optimum gold powder? I made a proper Sunday dinner (we all then farm dinners) of roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, and veggies tonight. Had some potatoes and they were great! Was so happy they didn't cause dumping!
  11. Mmmm looks great! Can't wait for asparagus again! Salmon is on the menu tomorrow here yay!
  12. I mixed it with diet iced tea today and it was much much better!
  13. Just with Water. I like to add a little mio tangerine and keep it ice cold. I'm going to try to mix it with some kinds of crystal light. I'm going to try some of the other flavors and ordered a variety pack.
  14. Looking good! Hope you had a good time!
  15. Watch out with those shots, their Protein is incomplete. I love the Syntrax nectar powders. The Fuzzy Navel is good and more like juice. The chocolate truffle with unsweetened almond milk is great too. Check return policies from your stores. The Vitamin Shoppe told me that I could return my powder if I didn't like it!
  16. Omg it would take me all day to eat that! Haven't been brave enough for mashed potatoes or anything starchy yet. Can you tolerate them well? Looks super yummy!
  17. Just had some for dinner -granted I chopped them up in the food processor. 3 was all it took to fill me up. If you want shrimp cocktail, there are some great low carb or sugar free ones out there!
  18. No, but had to say hey. Used to live in SA and miss it so much! Seriously maybe a trip back will be my reward for meeting my goal You can never explain how very beautiful it is to people that have never been there!! Used to work at BAMC. Great place!
  19. Body pillow and one wedged behind my back to keep me from on my side was the only way I could do it.
  20. From friends that have had WLS those with bypass were much more successful. And I didn't want to go through all the emotional ordeals of not being successful. I would be hard on myself and ashamed. Having consequences for not following the rules (dumping) was attractive to me too. Supplementing is a small price to pay for being a normal weight again. Go big or go home:)
  21. Should be fine. Don't over cook it and chew well! Ive heard it can get stuck if its tough and dry.
  22. I had 2 c sections and three other abdominal surgeries. My plan b was to do an open bypass. He said there were lots of scarring and surgery took an hour longer than expected but he got it done lap so don't give up hope! And a sleeve is better than nothing even if it's plan b.
  23. I would say it depends in how adventurous you want to be. If you want to let the other one do most of the work then as soon as you aren't in pain like a few days. If your trying to go for wild gymnastic marathon sex then you'll be waiting for awhile
