My heating pad was my best friend for that. I had it attached to me for the first few days. Helped very much. Good Luck!

Any Hiatal Hernia / Sleevers?
I was shocked when I woke from surgery and dr said I had had a very large hiatal hernia that he repaired. I had no idea. I was sleeved on 4/23 and I just stopped getting these incredible spasms that would actually start at the base of my throat and go down to about the end of my sternum. Hurt like hell. I still have difficulty swallowing sometimes with even little sips feeling "stuck" or a pill causing pain going down but it keeps getting better. As long as I know it will stop, and it will, I'm just dealing with it.

Gas Pains
If you're not that far out from surgery, that shoulder pain is very common after laparoscopic surgery. It is air. I didn't have much fortunately, but my hubby had it for about 2-1/2 weeks after surgery and was very uncomfortable. And walking is the best thing for it. If it gets worse than it is now though, please call your dr.

Protein
That sounds incredible! Then you could franchise, and set up shops across the states from people you get right here. I'm in Michigan so you either have to move here or have someone else start here so I can enjoy your cooking!

Arms
That's so funny but so true! I've used that trick. Thanks for the arm tip too!

2 Weeks And Beyond.. What And How Much Are You Eating?
Yup it actually says on my papers, "You may feel like you are drinking/eating all day long, and you may need to in order to get your protein and fluids in." Sip, sip, sip. I also have no clue if I'm hungry or full or what.

Bump In The Road And I'm Worried.... :(
Good words above - put it in God's hands. I'll pray for you too. My friend had the daylights scared out of her like that too, and it turned out to be "artifact" which was just a stupid shadow caused by nothing. Be strong, and know that whatever happens you will handle it one step at a time. God bless and I send you a hug!

9 Days Postop And Laying Around
I love you people soooooo much. I almost cried reading the responses of caring and encouragement. I slept for crap last night and truly am exhausted today, but I will get that walk in at least to the corner and I'll set a goal of trying to go a little further each day. It's going to be a nice day out so maybe I'll spend a little tme in the yard as well. Tomorrow, I'm going to hit the big Walmart and do some shopping for upcoming pureed diet. I have been getting in all my protein, fluids I thought were 64 but they're actually 70, so I'm going to up that. Thank you all for the wake up call!

Hooray - Nut Gave Me A Thumbs Up!
I'm tired today. Fell asleep earlier last night and woke at 5a kinda restless. And the thought of a protein drink is turning me off today.... can't wait to eat something substantial. Yogurt this morning, and that is sitting well.

9 Days Postop And Laying Around
I can't tell if I'm really tired, lazy, depressed, or what. I tell myself each day, tomorrow you're gonna really get moving - but I don't. Prior to surgery, I was pretty sedentary, just sitting a lot so that is what I'm used to. I did get outside and walk yesterday to the corner but that did me in for the rest of the day. I walk around the house periodically. It seems others are back to work, running around, shopping, taking care of little ones, etc. Is it time to push myself yet? I'm still off work until this coming Sunday 5/6, but I work from home on the computer so that's no physical exertion there. Did others take awhile to bounce back? How long? Thanks

Confused?
I have to have a minimum of 64 oz of fluid/day and 70 gm of protein (for 2 weeks postop).

60 Lbs (27 Kg) Lost In 5 Months, Almost No Effort At All
I loved your post. Thanks for sharing. I am 8 days postop and feeling a little sorry for myself. I haven't had any vomiting, but I am afraid of my sleeve and what I can and can't put in it (within the guidelines from NUT of course). I can't tell if I'm hungry at all, and I can't tell when I've had enough. It all just feels the same right now. I'm longing for foods I can't have yet. I don't regret this decision, I guess I just wish it would move along faster....your post made me feel better. Thanks again.

Hooray - Nut Gave Me A Thumbs Up!
Are you measuring food? How much would you say you're eating at a meal? Thanks
