Cooking
When you do get to a regular diet, why do you think you have to cook? There are so many easy, high protein things to eat in the grocery stores, or whole food stores that are good for you too. Things you can just pop in the micro, ya know? Someone just posted about a chicken patty at Sams Club with 18 gm of protein. So I say don't worry, it will work out, and your dietitian/NUT can help you too. Good Luck!

Help
Remember there have been so many others who have gone before you, who felt just like you do, I am one of them. I was so frickin miserable. But I got through it, and you can too. Be nice to yourself, protect yourself the best you can. You will be so proud when you get through it. It really is a huge accomplishment. Hang in there.....and cross those days off one by one.

Omgosh!
I agree with Nancy. You have had MAJOR surgery. Don't worry. Go at your own pace and follow dr orders. You'll be just fine.

Ct Scan Normal! Yay! Pre Op Diet.
Ok, the darn chest worry is over. You are young and strong. You will not have complications. You will do just fine and begin a wonderful new life. Go for it!! Say your prayers and get through this preop diet. Mine was a horror, but I did it and you can too. You will feel proud and have a sense of accomplishment when it's over. Good luck to you and God bless.

Like Button Not Working
I reported the problem first 3 days ago, and I believe it was late 2 days ago or at least yesterday early that the like button worked again. I do not see ny icon next to address bar to check for compatibility. Is there another way to check that for future reference? Thanks

Back To Work
Sounds like a nightmare!! I'm glad you made it back home and that you have another week. I'm 13 days postop and I've been getting that dizzy feeling and sometimes nausea which just started in the last couple days. I think you should get some extra rest now and push those fluids!! Hang in there.

Question For Sleevers
leesakake - I was sleeved on 4/23 and had been wondering the same thing. If you go to Youtube and do a search for gastric sleeve diets - you will see a lot of videos from different people giving examples of what they can eat in a day at a few months or a few years out. Hope that helps.

I Find Myself On This Ledge...
I hope yecats' words were a comfort to you because they really rang true. All these things going on in your life are not to be minimized in their importance to you, but you have to keep focused in what your ultimate goal is, especially now with surgery around the corner. Lean on those close to you if you can, or even the people here. We will support you every inch of the way. Hugs.

My husband has belonged to our local health club for some time but not me. My excuse was always, it's too expensive, we can't afford it, I can't make time, yadda yadda.....well I called them and it would be $46 more a month for me to join. They do have a $100 enrollment fee which they will run a special on and waive that starting May 30. Guess what I'm gonna do? Time to get off my butt. All that time I used to spend laying on the couch thinking about what I was gonna do and when is gonna get spent in the health club so I can get healthy and fit. I said when I started this journey, it's time for a new life and big changes. Oh and I am one lazy person!! Wish me motivation!!
