  1. I lost 7lbs, but I honestly only did 7 days in stead of the 10!!!
  2. I was sleeved Aug 9th and went back to work at the clinic Aug 15th. I think your 2 weeks iff will be perfect.
  3. Coffee is not outlawed on my post op diet. The surgeon reccomends no more than 2 cups a day thats all.......
  4. When could you have sparkling water like La Croix or Mendota Springs? ( no calories or sugar) I miss them I used Live on these!
  5. Last night I made Shelly's Ricotta Bake (that eggface lady) and it was soooooo good. I used fancy Giada De Laurentiis Pasta sauce from target so it was extra yummy you should try this! Shelly's Baked Ricotta 8 oz of Ricotta cheese 1/2 cup grated Parmesan 1 large Egg, beaten 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning salt & pepper to taste 1/2 cup Marinara Sauce 1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella Cheese Mix ricotta cheese, parmesan, beaten egg, seasonings together and place in a oven proof dish. Pour marinara on top and top with mozzarella cheese. Bake it in the oven @ 450 for about 20-25 minutes (best) or nuke it till hot and bubbly. I usually made it first in the oven and heated the leftovers in the microwave.

  8. Hi everyone! I wanted to share my excitment. I was sleeved exactly 2 weeks ago and I have lost 21lbs! That's 23% of my weight loss goal in 2 weeks. It would take me 6 months to accomplish that before, and I would gain it back each and everytime. I have been back to work since last Monday. I am finally getting all my Protein in everyday. It finally clicked that I can't waste the room in my stomach for non-high protein things YET. (like cream of wheat, creamy Soups etc. ) I have been drinking 3 glasses of 1% milk a day spiked with a 3rd of a chocolate Protein Drink (that has 20g of protien!) every day. It tastes like wonderful chocolate milk. I drink that between "meals" for the meals I have 2-3 tablespoons of mooshy egg salad, tuna salad, a baby bell cheese or ground turkey with a little marinara on top. I feel satisfied and I am getting my energy back! My cals are about 800-900 a day. I also sip on Water whenever possible. I don't consume any toxic sugar free or fat free crap. I do light miracle whip for the egg salad and tuna salad. Everyone is commenting on how I am looking and good and they can see the weight loss and it is so much fun. I really am feeling so happy and motivated! Yay!
  9. I am 2 weeks out and I have 1/8 of the energy I had pre-op. I suppose 21lbs of weight loss in 2 weeks can do that to you! I have found the more protien I get the day beofre the better I do the next day. I am finally getting my target of at least 60 grams starting this week!
  10. I missed the eating in the pre-op diet, but after I have not really. I take a few bites and I am satisfied. Unfortunately we cannot eat like pigs AND be thin and healthy. I made my choice, and I do not regret it. I am going to be a much happier, healthier person. So what if you miss eating a lot? You will be thin and healthy and that's much more rewarding.
  11. I struggled on the pre op diet too! I could have 4 slim fasts a day and it was hell. I felt the same way as you. Trust me, you feel way different after surgery I promise! You can do this!
  12. Now that I started some mushies I have noticied I can drink fluids more easily now. I have had some mushy egg salad and chicken breast. It tatstes good. I notice for sure I can drink way more if I wait an hour after I eat. It makes a big difference. I can drink a 12oz of water in a hour or 2 if my sleeve is "empty" I don't even try to drink unless I know i am empty. I hope all goes well!
  13. You are both beautiful! Congrats!!
  14. Wow, congrats! That would have made my day too! Keep up the good work!
  15. I had very little nausea, and very little pain. I had this horrible air-trapped in my abdomen feeling. It was awful~ and I hated having a IV in. And I am a stomach sleeper and I couldn't do that until I got home. (ok, I am whining!) I really disliked the heparin injection in my stomach every 8 hours. I am a nurse and I hated the hospital. LOL Once I got home I was a new woman! I am thrilled about the 20lbs!!!
  16. It went well, the first 3 days post op were rough. But now I feel almost normal and I am advancing my diet. I am little low on energy, but I have lost 20lbs and I am getting like 500 calories a day at this point so I can't expect to feel like I am full on energy! People are noticing I have lost weight and it is so much fun!
  17. I asked my PA this same question. I got an "all clear" for franks red hot starting 2 weeks post op :-)
  18. Dallas Mom- just do the best you can, thats all you can do.
  19. Oh the low carb debate! We all know we should limit carbs but trust me I will NEVER cut anything I love of my diet completely when I know I can enjoy it (Pasta, sushi, etc!) once a week and can make it up by working out an extra hour or two that week! Also, the sleeve keeps that portion that would be huge before the surgery way more under control.
  20. Woah we are very similar!!!! :-) I can't wait to get to the 100's with you! I have not been there since junior high either!
  21. Congrats on Onederland!!!! wahoo!!!!
  22. love it! Keep up the good work. Normal clothes are cute and less expensive! I am so excited to say good bye to Layne Bryant forever!
