  1. Hi all! I am excited to say I have a date tonight! (a blind date) I have been emailing him for weeks, we have clicked personality wise. I was engaged until early this year, (my ex was against me getting weight loss surgery, so after we split I went for it) Anyways, I am wanting to know if I should tell my date tonight about my surgery or if I should wait and see if we even make it to another date. Something tells me we will due to our constant communication for the past few weeks.... any advise would be great!!!
  2. laughing cow cheese~ 70 cals. :-) and 6 grams of protein.
  3. Ok 7 days and the scale hasn't moved at all. It is so frustrating! I'm maybe eating 500 cals a day when I'm really trying, and if I slack I maybe get 300! Preop I ate 3000+ a day! How can I not be losing weight! So the question is when do I make my roommate return my scale????
  4. excellent job!! You look amazing! thanks for the inspiration
  5. At least you have a good sense of humor about it! keep up the good work!
  6. I am so happy for you Gayle! I am day 6 of my scale not moving, you are giving me hope!
  7. 3 times this week this has happened....... After a meal of dense protein ( a few tablespoons) about an hour later I throw up a big ball of phlegm..... No food. Gross I know! Any thoughts? I know I'm not overfull.
  8. My surgeon says no to alcohol because you might not make your weight loss goals. He is good friends with the doctor I work for so he is straight up with me. I had a half a beer at my dads 60th Suprise Bday Party on Saturday. I felt fine. I will wait to drink my 2nd half a beer until New Years :-)

My surgeon laughed when I asked him if carbonation streched the sleeve. He said NO WAY. But he reccomends to avoid it for the first 3 months for healing. And then limit it as much as possible.
  10. Here's mine, I am one month post-op Breakfast: 1 babybel cheese snack: 6oz of 1% milk mixed with 4oz of protien drink lunch: 14 turkey pepperoni slices snack: small iced latte with skim milk dinner: tuna salad with light miracle whip. (1/4 cup) snack: natural popsicle
  11. LOL I asked. But you are so out if it after surgery you might not remeber seeing it like me. So ask your surgeon to take a photo of it, they will!
  12. Hi there! I am feeling very worried!!! I lost at least a pound per day for the first 25 days and now for the last 4 to 5 I have not seen any movement on the scale!! I am about 1 month out. How long did your fist stall last?? Just nervous. I want to hear about people's stalls and when the scale started moving again! thanks!
  13. If you're anything like me......... I can seem to get wind in my sails and lose 20,30, 40, or even 50lbs (never made it to onderland) but I ALWAYS give up/get distracted/give in. And gain it all back. I needed this surgery. If I didn't need it I would have been thin since I went on my first diet when I was 7 years old. I'm almost 1 month out and know I made the right choice. I had several friends and family members try to talk me out of it but it didn't work. Unfortunately the statistics are that if an obese person loses weight through diet and exercise a crazy 95% of people will regain it within 3 years. That statistic was my deciding factor.
  14. Kristina I felt like that too at first. I still get hungry but luckily I eat something small like 1 string cheese and I'm full an satisfied for hours! Once you get solids it really makes a difference.
  15. omg you look adorable! can't wait to catch up to you!!!! :-)
  16. It's too early to regret!! I think if you wait it out you will not have these feelings!! I am a nurse as well. I was worried a lot too.We know too much. We hear all the bad horror stories. When you get anxious just think about what your life will be like in 6 months!!!!! I am already feeling cuter, happier and excited for the future. People are telling me how great I look. And I am just one month out tomorrow. I can eat anything now just a very small portion. I do not feel deprived at all. (it is easy to feel like that when your diet is liquids) I know for a fact I could never maintain any weightloss for long- so this is my chance to feel and look great.
  17. I love this one!!! They are so expensive!!!!! Keep up the good work!
  18. I bought a super cute flared pair of size 16 jeans from Old Navy! They are adorable and fit perfectly, make my butt look good!!!!! YAY! I havn't been able to buy jeans there for years in the regular section!
  19. congrats that is excellent! you can really see the changes!!!! :-)
  20. I totally agree with you. I have effortlessly lost 26lbs in 3 weeks and 2 days. I lost 25lbs in 2008 and it took 6 months and I was at the gym everyday for an hour and paying for personal trainers and buying expensive "diet foods" I can't wait to lose more!
