  5. I had my surgery Tuesday 8/9/2011 and I went back to work on Monday 8/15/2011. I work as a nurse at a busy clinic and I have felt just fine! Actually getting up and doing things helps me feel better. :-)
  6. Wow, you are so right! You are still allowed to miss your hair, and It will grow back!
  7. We were sleeved the same day and I was beyond miserable until Friday too. I really took feeling well for granted. You WILL feel good again soon. I do and the weight is coming off quickly and it will be sooooo worth it!
  8. You could try milk of magnesia or miralax? Or prune juice?
  9. Ok so I want to warn everyone! The day of surgery and 2 days after were no picnic. I am a nurse, and was not prepared for how hellish I felt be prepared for the worst. But on a good note, I weigh 12lbs less than last Sunday! I feel better and better everyday. I am going back to work Monday and I get to advance to full liquids including yogurt. So excited. I am in good spirits and hope to keep it up! Yay!
  10. For sure I felt the same way. I gained 7 lbs the month before surgery! But now those days are over. Keep your eye on being thin and healthy! it helps. It will be so much better than eating, I know it.

  14. Hey everyone! I was sleeved Tuesday and came home yesterday. I wasn't prepared for the aftermath of surgery that's for sure! I feel much better than Wednesday but still very sore and having difficulty drinking enough. When did you feel at least pretty good? I can't wait!
  15. I'm home from the hospital today too, I feel like there are not enough hours in the day to drink enough liquid! I cant lie, post op the last few days was hell. I am so excited to start feeling ok at least!
  16. You are adorable! I'm happy to see you are doing so well pregnant, I hope to have kids in a few years too.
  17. My mom didn't have a sleeve done but she had stomach cancer 19 years ago. Basically they removed 70% of her stomach and a small part of her esophagus. She went from 195lbs to 105. No cancer since. Her weight has never gotten over 108 in all those years!!!!! She says it's still hard to eat bread but that's it!
  18. I think you are doing a great job, and your doctor was treating you a little rudely! I work full time with a doctor and he says your liver (or mine) is probably not that big, at least to be felt like that. I can't see your ticker, (they are blocked at work) so I am not sure about your starting weight. I am 28, 5'4'' and my high weight was 262, and ate out almost 100% of the time for meals and I have a lean liver according to my ct scan. The big fatty liver than can be felt like that is usually from being an alcoholic or being older and obese, and and having comordidities like diabetes. Were any of your liver function tests elevated? LIke AST, ALT, etc? You are 22, and you probably have nothing to worry about, keep up what you are doing. Be pround of your preop weight loss. :-)
  19. you were cute before, but now you are hot! keep up the good work!
  20. my NUT said this is acceptable in the first few weeks when we are not having any other food intake. This would be a once a day type thing of course.
  21. Try this its amazing!!! 20 grams of protein!!!
