  1. I'm doing the happy dance with you! Congrats!!
  2. You can't change it from the remote apps, you have to go to the full websit and update it there.
  3. Welcome Georgia! We can definately be buddies, send me a PM any time. Tell us your story (your profile is blank). Take care!
  4. sguyan, Where do you live? Your profile doesn't say. I'd love to be buddies! Feel free to send me a PM anytime. Do you track your food? I use myfitnesspal (user: ajtexas0) add me as a friend if you do. It really helps keep you honest. Track everything even if you have a bad day, you can then look back and may see a pattern. I know I have found patterns, that time of the month is killer, stress can do numbers too and for me bordom during the evenings reall gets me. I'm a big evening eater! Also look at your food choices. I do Low Carbs and try to eat 60-70g of Protein a day. They say protein first, the veggies, the carbs. Plus keep to 1 cup of food total per meal. "Just because you can eat more doesn't mean you should", I'm sure you have heard that on this site a few times. Well it's true! Do you exercise? This is a hurdle for me. I hate the though of going to the gym, etc... I have a desk job so I have very little movement during the day. I am trying something this week, I set up remionders on my work computer at 10am & 2pm that say "Go for a walk". So far I have gotten up from my desk and gone fore a 15 minute walk (course it's only Tuesday, but it's a start). Keep coming back to this site. The support you get here is great, it will keep you motivated! Good luck!
  5. I eat between 1000-1200 calories a day. I do low carbs and about 60g of protein. About once a week I have a treat day where I eat about 1500 calories. I am loosing about 1-2 lbs a week right now (that can change at any point). My thought is mix it up. If you do the same every day your body gets use to it. I want to keep my body guessing. Lol
  6. My health and how I felt about myself was my initial motivators. Now, what keeps me going is I like myself again! And I keep catching my husband starring at me. When I ask what he is looking at, he replies "my sexy wife" That feels sooo good!
  7. I agree with Carolinagirl. I was banded in Feb, lost 60 lbs so far. My goal is 100lbs. As for steak, I eat it. It depends on the grade of steak, higher quality is easier to chew but since you eat alot less it costs about the same....plus I'm worth it. Just have to chew chew chew the SMALL bits. Don't drink soda anymore, didn't like the gas issues. I don't miss it. The band is a tool and you do have to make lifestyle changes. It is worth everyone of them for me!
  8. I have fruit at least once a day. Mostly berries, but i do enjoy a banana about once a week.
  9. I took 1 week off and am very thankful for that. If I could I would have taken 2. You might want to see if you can take more time.
  10. This sits is full of just that! I am here for you. Feel free to send me a pm if you need. What is on your mind? Doubt? You can do this. You are going to have challenges and hurdles but you will concore all of them. You have all of us on your side.
  11. You can do this, I know you can! It is soooo worth it. Trust me 6 months from now when people start noticing how good you look you will smile knowing it was worth every minute you struggled, questioned, and endured your new lifestyle. I believe in you.
  12. That's got to be the best feeling! You go girl!!
  13. I like weight watchers smoked string cheese. 6g protein, 50 calories. Cause it is string, I eat it really slow & enjoy every bit.
  14. Good luck to both of you.
  15. My full sign is I can feel the food moving through my band slower. If I continue to eat....it WILL get stuck. Sometimes my band starts gurgling....very disturbing at a dinner table. My daughter will say, I think your band has had enough. Lol.
  16. I agree with everyone. I have to wait till 2 hours after I'm up, that is when I get hungry. If I'm not hungry I don't eat. By evening I get all my calories in, that's for sure!
  17. The syringes have marks for tenths of a cc. You would think that small amount wouldn't make a difference, but it does. I was amazed.
  18. If length of time is not a problem, I would take a week to 10 days. Give yourself time to heal but also time to learn how to manage your new eating habits. Are you on liquid? Does anyone at your work know? If they don't and you're on liquids then you could get questioned. I took 1 week off and to be honest if I could I would have taken 2 weeks. Not to heal but to get through the liquid stage. I found it difficult working, liquid diet, and nosey coworkers.
  19. I am female and going thru menopause so who knows there.... lol
  20. Memphisfan, What about drinking a Protein shake in the class room? That would hold you over till lunch. The hardest think for me to learn was (is) small bites especially if I'm really hunger. My doctor says a bite should be the size of a dime. In order to make my bites small I always eat with a knife and fork, even sandwiches and `finger foods`. It helps me.
