That is exactly what I did! I lost 31 pounds prior to surgery. I only had to lose 15 pounds according to dietian. And the doctor only wanted me too fast 24 hours before surgery. But I followed a liquid diet mostly to get my body and brain used too this is it for awhile. I've had no problems at all, even with after my band date of Aug 6. I'm recovering just fine and even the Protein shakes taste great.

Best wishes and you're doing it the right way.

Good luck to both of you.

Good luck You will do great!

I don't have to start my pre-op diet until September 10th, but I'm taste-testing different shake brands now. I had the Unjury Chocolate Classic this morning. Not bad...I could drink it when necessary.

Yes, I only have used Unjury so far. I like it. I can usually drink it no problems but for some reason today I'm having a problem choking my first one down. I know it's all in my head. Gotta get over that.
