Crunches
get yourself one of those exercise balls. I do my crunches on one of those and man they are awesome! I also do crunches in the pool. Less strain on the bones and back.

Stop! Put Down The Potato Chips And Walk Away!
These habits and addictions didn't occur overnight and they won't go away that fast wither.....in fact, this will probably be a life long battle. It will be hard, we may falter, but in the end we must prevail! I say to myself every morning when I wake up "This day I battle...this day I will fight hard, this day I WILL be the victor!" You're already working on your eating habits, which is good, but work harder to fight the boredom and the mind hunger. Instaed of chips...keep a hand tensioner that will work out your fingers, wrist and forearms while sitting at your desk. It has helped me. Good luck and always look to the LBT for support!

Worst Case Senario!
You're not alone. Food addiction is very serious...trust me, I know! When I first looked into the band I wondered to myself and worried...could I actually be THIS committed?!? You are correct in that it is about retraining the mind...learning new eating habits and just making better food choices. The band is no easier than a diet...it is just an additional tool, as you said. You can do this...you know what you have to do. No more excuses. I play guitar...not well, but I play. When I feel the urge to eat or I get mind hungry...I pick up my guitar and practice until my fingers are sore. Placing the focus elsewhere is what helped me. It might be able to help you. Take a up new hobby or revisit an old one. Something that you can focus on when those addictions come knockin on the door again......most importantly.....drink your water! I wish you success and joy on your continued journey. It's not too late to do it right.

Is The Party Over?
Honestly my friends wouldn't give a rat's a$$ what I was doing as long as I was still fun to hang out with. Just be yourself and if they can't or don't want to understand, then maybe it's time to find some more supportive friends. Welcome to the forum and I hope your journey is smooth sailing!

Recently Banded- Gas, Weird Stomach
I had the exact same symptoms and my wife suggested that it may be because I drinking from a straw all day and may have been consuming extra air. I stopped drinking from a straw and a day later the gas subsided. Not sure if this is your issue, but just offering my experience. I hope it helps.

Drinking Water And Cheating On The Pre-Op Diet
I did the last meal thing, but I did before I started my pre-op. After that I stuck to the rules and did what I was supposed to. I just don't think it's worth the hassle of an even remote chance of screwing up the surgery. When has anyone ever cheated just once? It's a cycle that has hurt all of us. You have to stop it at some point. As far as the Water thing....I generally take very small sips during a meal...if I need it to cleanse my palette. I do not gulp only because you can not only have it come back up, but it also help the food move through quicker and you're less likely to get that full feeling when you truly are full. Just my two cents

Eating Food One Week After Surgery
Yes, for the most part we all do, but DON'T! You're still healing and could do potential damage. Just continue to drink water to keep yourself full. You'll get through it...I promise.

Testosterone Boost
This is interesting. I was only banded 5 weeks ago, I'm down 34 lbs and I'm feeling the exact opposite. It's like a switch was turned on. Maybe its psychological, but I can't seem to get enough.
