  1. I was sleeved 6/15 by Dr.Verboonen in Cancun. Surgery went great, no problems with recovery. Down 34 pounds and doing well. Dr Perez removed my drain and released me. Both were nice and I would recommend either one for surgeries in Mexico.
  2. I use to jog in my younger/skinny days. I remember my breathing would become rhythmic, three breaths in through the nose, and then one large exhale through the mouth....
  3. I'm sorry this has happened to you! It's past time to bring in the big boys "The Experts" and get this figured out. You may have to travel outside your area to get the best possible treatment....Maybe someone here on VST knows of a specialist they can recommend? In the meanwhile, hugs and lots of prayers going out to you now!
  4. Happy Birthday! Welcome to the losers club.
  5. I haven't tried steak as of yet. Chicken sits really heavy with me, so I'm afraid of steak. I've had bread a few times and slimed, so no bread either. No problems with salad or pasta.
  6. Hope it all goes well for you!
  7. I had a mani-pedi done before I left for mexico. No problems there. Acrylic nails may be different?
  8. I confess- I'm lucky to get in 60 grams of Protein a day. I confess- I hate drinking Water. I confess- my weight loss has been slower than others on VST. I confess- the slow weight loss, is because of confession 1 and 2. I confess- I eat too fast, can't seem to make myself eat slow enough not to slime. I confess- can't wait to be small and feel sexy again! .
  9. Awesome job! Your an inspiration to us all.
  10. Started at 225 lost 10 lbs on the pre op diet, down to 191.4 as of this morning. I'm 8 1/2 weeks post op now, so that makes 34 lbs for me!
  11. I didn't use half of what I took to Cancun. I did use my robe and crocs for walking the halls. I used sugar free Halls defense vitamin C drops for dry mouth and throat. Wish I had taken my laptop to skype people back home. As far as flying, you can check almost anything, except weapons and certain kind of batteries. For carry on, all liquid under 3 ounces, in a see through plastic baggie. I did not wear make-up until time to fly home. Hope that helps.
  12. Do you mean right after surgery? Good question for your surgeon. I would think since swimming uses every muscle in your body, you probably wont feel like swimming for a week or so. Or not until your incisions heal. I went to Cancun a few days before surgery, no problems there.
  13. We can do this Becky...Maybe we'll be so skinny they will call us chickenlegs...LOL!
  14. I love the bolthouse farms also. Too much sugar, so I mix a little with my protein powder and 1% milk. Gives it the flavor I need without all the carbs. Sorry, I know your looking for one thing in a bottle to drink, but I'm out 8 weeks and still haven't found it. A person could go broke trying all these and still not be happy!
  15. Two nights at the hospital, followed by one night at the hotel and then back to the good ole USA!
  16. Man, you can tell your weight loss. Good job! ,
  17. Great job Jentz! We're just getting started. I was sleeved June15, so almost two months now. Down 31lbs total, including pre-op diet. It seems slow compared to others.

    Good work, for one month!
  19. One day, none of that will matter. You will be looking fine and life will be good!
  20. I am so sorry your feeling bad! What is your Doctor saying? What are you taking for the nausea? If you can get the throwing up under control, you'll rest better, and may help with the pain. Remember, small sips, if your drinking cold drinks, switch to warm/hot. Good luck, Hugs and prayers coming your way!
  21. Yes, it's normal. Try getting in more protein. B12 shots helped me.
  22. I have some reflux, but not sweating. I use to be hot natured, and now Im cold all the time. I worried they removed my tatsebuds during my surgery, cause nothing really tastes GOOD anymore, especially drinks!.
