  1. In the hospital for 48 hrs, no nausea, very little pain. On the way home from Cancun, had to connect in the Atlanta airport. We went from one end of that place to the other with customs and our connection, and other than being slow, no problems there. I had some pain and heat in my IV site, but I'd take that over being sick any day. Around 4 weeks I had my first slime episode, but all my fault for putting my sleeve to the test. If you think you MAY be full, stop there! In all honesty, this has been "physically' easier than I had imagined. Mentally, It's been more of a challenge. I miss my diet coke, and having a sweet tea with my meal. I'm adjusting and you will too!
  2. I took two weeks off, but I felt good and could have returned after week one, "desk job." Everyone's different, I didn't have much pain and other than being tired felt pretty good. Pace yourself, and sit down and rest when you feel tired. You should be fine!
  3. Melissa, so sorry this happened to you..Praying that you heal quickly. Hugs!!!
  4. I had a b12 shot, and that really boosted my energy. I agree, one hour workouts may be a little soon for 14 days post op. Sounds like your doing everything right to me. I had a stall at two weeks that lasted about 8days, uggh! It happens, just keep doing what your doing and you'll get through it!
  5. I was sleeved by Dr. Verboonen on Jun 15th. at the Victoria Center. I had no problems, not much pain and am doing well. If you have any other questions, you can Message me....
  6. Glad to hear that your feeling better! I wasn't allowed anything to drink for the first 24hrs. I Didnt mind, I slept for most of it anyway. Get home and get well!
  7. It's ok, no ones perfect. You can do this! But only one do-over, LOL! Good luck!
  8. I'm sorry, wish I knew the answer to that. Prayers and hugs being sent your way now!
  9. Good for you! Life is just beginning, Enjoy!
  10. Sleeved on 6/15 down 30lbs now! My surgeon was verboonen. Dr.Perez was there to remove my drain, barrium test and release me from the center. I liked Perez, he seemed like a very good Doctor. I had no problems, other than pain where the IV was. Nurses were great, but didnt speak alot of english. Cancun is beautiful!
  11. Looks like your doing everything right. Have you thought about getting a B12 shot? I had one a few weeks ago, and it helped me alot. I will be going back for another one next week.
  12. I used Dr.Verboonen for my surgery. Dr. Perez removed my drain, and the barium test so i could be released from the surgery center. He seemed really nice, and i would have been comfortable with him as my surgeon. I took my family with me to Cancun. It's a lovely place, and we had a mini vacation before surgery. I would advise not renting a car however, it's a little crazy driving there. LOl!
  13. Don't stress! Get back on the plan. You can do this!!!!
  14. Don't look back, your NOT headed that way! Feel good about about yourself and where your going now. Life is too short, enjoy!
  15. Great Job! Wish I could drink two shakes a day.I can barely make myself drink one, uugghh!
  16. Welcome to the forum! I'm a self-pay. I hate dealing with insurance companies. Not saying I haven't spoke to a few nice people that work for them, but for the most part I can't stand dealing with them. Good luck, hope your new approval comes quick!
  17. You can do this!! In the end, you'll be happy you had the surgery!
  18. Swimming is a great exercise, and your feet and knees wont be strained. Once you loose 2-30lbs then you can start the weight bearing exercises!
  19. BenisaMartin may be right. Too little calories and your body thinks it's starving. It will then try and hang onto all calories consumed. To see how many calories your body needs to lose weight, check out this web site...www.fitnessfrog.com/calculators.html Good luck!
  20. The night before surgery, I went with my family to a restaurant, and watched them eat seafood. UUGGHH, it was so hard! I didn't want to take any chances, so i sipped my protein shake and drooled.
