That is awesome, I live in Kentucky, I love Mexican food and can barely spell Tijuiana. I'm glad that there will be someone else there that I have spoken with, I'm nervous, how about you.

Yes I am super nervous as well but I think the excitement is much bigger.

Good deal, can't wait to see you there. I start my pre op diet Monday, I think that will be the hardest part

Yea I start mine in Monday too, not looking forward to the headaches I'll probably get but I am excited because the day is getting closer.

Hi Ladies,

I am also considering Dr verboonen. I would love to know how your surgeries go. Good luck!!

Newbie, I will let you know how everything goes. You can also follow me on www.youtube.com/sleevedviv

I had my VGS with Dr Verboonen 8/1/12. A roller coaster of emotions. There was minimul lingering discomfort for a few days but I did not take the prescribed pain meds. Frankly what stands out as the most discomforting was the sore throat from whatever tube they put down. A week later the soreness is gone but my normal deep voice has changed considerably. After being awoken after surgery I asked for something to help my throat pain but my requests were ignored. I feel some throat logenzes would have been of relief. I have no idea if I was an exception for I have seen no other comments about sore throats. VGS surgery greatly plays with your emotions (myself anyway) for if you loved to dine out & socialize with good food & friends that takes some major adjustments. In any case I am just relaying my recont personal experience. Good luck to you all

For those of you that had surgery at the Obesity Goodbye Center, how is the room you stay in? My mom is staying with me and I want to know what is available for her to sleep in.
