  1. Wow! I'm so excited for you.
  2. The drain was no problem, felt weird when they removed it. The IV was what I couldn't stand, and in Cancun they leave it in until almost time to go home...UUGGHH!
  3. It has always been my experiance to be yanked around by the insurance company. Decided I would not let them stress me over this surgery. Guess what? I took out $$ from my 401k "hardship loan" and went the self-pay Mexico route.
  4. I looked pretty good on that simulator...Yaah!
  5. Hi Jasmine, I was originally thinking of the lapband. I started my WLS info search on the internet and youtube. Once I read about the sleeve, I didn't consider anything else. I am 8 weeks post op, down 31lbs as of today. I feel great, and Im glad I had the surgery. My taste buds have changed, things really dont taste as good as they use to. " That's a good thing, right". Everyones different, what is easy and good to me, might make you gag. LOL!
  6. Can't get any easier than this! I'm going to try them as soon as I get some parchment paper.
  7. Any tips how to make this without the food processor?
  8. I know where your coming from. Giving up coffee and diet coke has been the hardest thing for me. I gave up the soft drinks first, the coffee didn't happen until 3 days before surgery. I'm 8 weeks post op and have had maybe 4 cups of coffee, but it doesn't taste the same or have any appeal to me. Oh, and in the beginning I threatened some people with bodily harm! Luckily, they gave me some space and Now I'm better!
  9. I desperately want to walk and my thighs not rub together! I want to sit on an airplane and not be wedged into the seat. I want to shop for clothes and look in the mirror and NOT be depressed!
  10. I remember the days in high school, stuffing myself, wishing I could get to 100 lbs..Oh my, what 30 years and three kids later, will do to you. I have no desire to be that small again, and have no worries that it will. Like Dooter said, I'm good at gaining weight..
  11. I use 1% milk, a scoop of Protein powder, add a little Bolthouse Farms mocha Cappuccino "Krogers", and maybe a little Hills Bros. french vanilla cappuccino..Yummy! The Bolthouse is 100% arabica coffee. It does have 7grams of protein and 28 grams of sugar, so I dont use alot of it, but it gives it a good flavor.
  12. My Doctor said to go to any general practice Doctor and they can run the blood tests and check my levels. He sent me a sheet that I'm to give them, and that tells them what to check for. He recommend that I go at 3months post op...
  13. Loved Cancun! Just don't rent a car, it dangerous driving there!

You look terrific! Corset, is that like a spanx? LOL!
  15. Check around at your local churches. We have Zumba at 3 different churches in my area for $2.00 a class, and I'm not in a big city.
  16. I told my Hubby Corey was looking slimmer these days. He still has a way to go. Hope he keeps it up!
  17. Fantastic job your doing! Keep it up!
  18. I'm sorry to hear you lost your Mom. it's hard to concentrate on your needs, while dealing with your loss. A food diary is the way to go. I tally my Proteins and calories daily; It keeps me honest on what's going in. I think it's fine to eat 5 mini meals a day. Try to exercise at least 4/5 times a week. Even if your just walking a few minutes at a time. Exercise helps with depression. Hugs and prayers being sent your way now!
  19. 1. Practice eating s-l-o-w-l-y 2. Practice eating small bites. 3. Had one great meal at the Mexican Restaurant before surgery. 4. Taken more before pics. 5. Begin my workouts and not slacked off.
  20. "Shouting Europe" had to laugh on that one! I'm eating slow for me, but it's not slow enough to make my sleeve happy..Guess i need a stopwatch or something..
  21. If crackers are sitting well, spread some laughing cow cheese on them. Filling, and it has protein. It doesn't matter what I'm eating, if i eat too fast, "bad, bad habit I'm trying to break", it makes my tummy flip, flop. Hang in there, it does get better!
