  1. Yes, you will be able to have bread again. You may find that once you can, you've lost the taste for it. I'm at 14 weeks, and it's one of the few things that my sleeve doesn't tolerate well. Hang in there. Stick with your diet, good things are coming!
  2. Yogurt and cottage cheese will not pass through security. Protein bars are good to go. Also, you can pack some protein powder in a shaker bottle, and just purchase skim milk at the airport or hotel.
  3. Sorry, don't mean to get too personal, but is the flax seed keeping you regular?
  4. Had mine removed on day two. I was SO happy! It didn't hurt, but my hubby laughed at the weird moan/yip that escaped from me. Kinda like having an alien birth.

  6. My first slime was at 4 weeks. Think i was a little too comfy with my new sleeve. For me, it happens when i eat too fast, "bad habit" Sometimes, I can walk it off, but usually it means a trip to the bathroom to get it out. GROSS!

  8. Got this from Google. ix Potential Side Effects of Too Much Protein in the Diet What happens when your diet regularly exceeds recommended protein levels? Depending on the amount and type of protein you consume, you may end up experiencing a few side effects. Kidney Problems According to National Kidney Foundation, eating too much protein may stress kidneys and contribute to pre-existing kidney problems, high levels of protein in the urine, and kidney stones. Getting plenty of exercise and drinking water can help the kidneys flush wastes out of your system more effectively. Make sure you talk to your doctor before beginning a high protein diet if you have ever experienced kidney problems
  9. In Mexico, my barium was blue. Ugghhh! I would take tiny sips and hold my nose. I actually cheated, and threw the last little bit int he sink..LOL! P.s Don't tell my Doctor.
  10. My BMI was 39, with no major health issues. After talking to my insurance company, I knew they would never pay for the surgery. I decided to make it happen. I borrowed from my jobs 401 plan, as a medical hardship, went to Mexico and had it done. Where there's a will there's a way!
  11. Your the first person "I've" heard say their restriction became worse with time. Definitely worth getting checked out.
  12. Just smile and thank them for their opinion. And like **holes, we each have our own! Be happy in yourself, that's what it all comes down to... .
  13. Gee, that will be difficult, not impossible though. Maybe ALL your daily liquids should be protein drinks? Just kidding. I'm lucky to get 60-70 grams of protein. Let us know what you work out!
  14. You can take Gas-X strips, they work well. Did the Doctor prescribe anything for acid reflux? I'm glad you made the weigh in. Welcome to the Loser's Club!!

  16. Quit diet coke and coffee on my 10day pre-op diet..Uuggh it was hard. Sometimes I will have a cup of coffee, but I'm leaving soft drinks alone.
  17. No, your doing it right. Grazing is more like continuous snacking or eating. It does seem to all run together in the beginning.
