Too Much Protein?!

So I've been doing really well with protein intake (now that I've found something that I *like*) and overdid it on the protein yesterday. I wasn't really wanting food but had bit too much protein (smoothie and a shake)- I was at 129 instead of in the 80s. I feel fine but I'm wondering what, if any, are the side-effects of overdoing it on protein..

ix Potential Side Effects of Too Much Protein in the Diet

What happens when your diet regularly exceeds recommended protein levels? Depending on the amount and type of protein you consume, you may end up experiencing a few side effects.

Kidney Problems

According to National Kidney Foundation, eating too much protein may stress kidneys and contribute to pre-existing kidney problems, high levels of protein in the urine, and kidney stones. Getting plenty of exercise and drinking water can help the kidneys flush wastes out of your system more effectively. Make sure you talk to your doctor before beginning a high protein diet if you have ever experienced kidney problems

Too much protein can lead to weight gain according to my NUT

I was at a sleeve support group and they said too much protein will be stored as fat if your body doesn't need it for energy. Also too much protein without enough water can be bad and lead to things like constipation.
