  1. I believe in following the Doctors orders, but Raven is right, if you can stick with that diet for 6 months, you wouldn't need surgery...Sounds like an insurance company to me.
  2. I was sleeved 6/15/12 by Doctors Verboonen and Perez. I used Sheri Burke. Everything went well. Sheri was terrific, and her husband is a sweetie! Cancun.was lovely, and we felt safe. My family enjoyed their mini vacation!
  3. The preop diet is about shrinking the liver, one salad won't undo that. That said, get back with the program, you can do this!
  4. YAAh! You look terrific!
  5. Try to get in as much fluids as possible. You don't want to become dehydrated!.
  6. Flew home from Mexico on day three. Walked, what seemed like the entire Atlanta airport. I was tired but did really well. Went back to work on day ten "desk job", with no problems. I probably took a nap every chance I got, for the first month.
  7. I agree with the Others. If there's pain, there is SOMETHING WRONG! Time for a new Doctor. I pray God's healing for you. Job 22;27 " You shall also decide and decree a thing, and it shall be established for you." Psalms 91;10 "No evil shall befall you, nor plague come near your dwelling; For he shall give his angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.''
  8. North Ms here...Sleeved 6/15/12 in Cancun, "self-pay" down 52 lbs. Feeling great, no problems during surgery or since!
  9. Get Out! I bought them months ago, and they've been sitting in my fridge. I tried one, and it tasted like liquid Jello, uggh! So why do they sell them?
  10. I bought some Silk's Fruit and Protein drink, strawberry/banana, Yum! I mixed it with one of those nasty, taste like cough syrup, "Super Protein Shots," added four ounces of 1% milk and it tastes like a fruit smoothie. Best of all it's 35 grams of protein..Yaah! Super protein shot 26 grams protein..120 cals..0 carbs 1% low fat milk 4 grams protein .. 50 cals..12 carbs Silk Fruit & Protein 5 grams protein....130 cals..19 carbs
  11. Power Bar Recovery, cookies & cream..Yummy! Great if your working with weights. 12 grams protein, 250 calories, and 19 grams of sugar.
  12. Yes, it's normal. Yes, it will go away. Your doing terrific, hang in there! Now we need some knock-knock jokes for the laughter portion..... Knock knock. Who's there? Cows go. Cows go who? No, cows go moo!
  13. Your taste buds definitely take a hit! Everything I drank, "'except water" tasted too sweet. Food just wasn't the same. I, also see this as a good thing. At around 14 weeks, things started to taste good again. Hang in there!
  14. Wow! You've really been through the ringer. So glad to hear that you survived, and are doing well now..My belief, and opinion is God has plans for you. If you ever want to talk about what happened on the table when you saw the light, I would love to hear it...Or if you just want to talk, private message me. Terri
  15. WOW! Thanks for sharing. You give us all hope!
  16. Great Job! How many days a week do you exercise?
  17. You can start an easy program, such as walking as soon as you feel up to it. Strenuous exercises, like weight lifting, should wait six weeks. Maybe, the Zumba fans on here can offer their opinions?
  18. Wow! That's terrific! I'm so happy for you, slightly jealous, but still happy....
  19. P.S Google 5 day pouch test...May help.
  20. Good luck with your first consult! Things will move quickly from here.
  21. It's going to be ok. Your on the right path, admitting that your scared, and slipping back into bad, old habits. It sounds like the move and job change has you stressed, and food is your new best friend...I would recommend you start with the basics, WLS diet 101. If you exercise 4 times a week, amp it up to 6 time a week..Don't give up, you can do this! Good luck.
  22. It's o.k to cry. I've heard a few people, talk about how emotional they were after surgery. Your body is recuperating and your hormones are wacked! Once the weight starts dropping off, you wont be bothered as much by food commercials, or food in general. Keep the goal in mind! To be healthy and lighter.
