  1. I would love to join your Summer Meltdown challenge, however I have never done a video, I'm a little challenged in the technology department -:) But I will see what I can do and if not I will still follow the quidelines and post my results. I think this is a wonderful idea, and I am sure you will have a wonderful response to this initiative. I wish you the best of luck and continued success on this journey.

  2. I was nervous and scared also, I think we all are when we face the unknown. However it was not painful and it didn't take long at all. They will numb the area where they are going to eneter the port. when they enter they will have you sit up and drink water and see if you are having any problems having it go down once the the fill they will make sure that you aren't having any problems swallowing and there is no pressure in the chest. and then its all over. You will do fine, I wish you much success on this journey - :)

  3. I"m scheduled for my first fill on 5/21/2012. However my incision, I think where the port is located is still sore. I don't know to reschedule for a later date or will it matter if that area is sore. Any suggestions ????????? Good luck on your continued weight loss.

  4. I'm right there with you. I had my first visit today with the Doctor but I will not have my first fill until 5/21/12. My weight lost has been slow, Im over 50 and I know it seems to take me longer to lose the weight now that it did before. I have only lost a total of 19 lbs which includes the two

week pre surgery weight.. But 19 lbs is 19 lbs .....I have been very good with my eatting but I must admit I need to up the exercise. Let me know

what ideas you come up with on your three meals a day plan. I wish you must continued success and look forward to hearing from you.

  5. Thats wonderful, I can hardly wait until I too can say that I'm not on any of my pre-surgery meds. You look great, keep up the good work. I said I was going to exercise today but I hadn't as of yet. Earlier I posted that I was feeling a little tired and was about to take a nap. But now after reading your post I am going to exercise -:)

  6. I'm taking a liquid pain medication and for last two days i've taken it only once a day. I still have a lot of pain in the incision site and I think it must be the one where the port is. I plan on exercising today at least 30 minutes. I haven't done anything since surgery but it will just be a week tomorrow. Wish me luck !

  7. I know it may be difficult for you to see now, but everything in life happens for a reason. Don't question the delay, just continue to prepare yourself physically and mentally. Just think it could have been your actual surgery date that you had to cancel and not your doctors appt. I'm happy to hear that you are feeling better now and those eight days will be here before you know it.

  8. Hi, Today is a much better day. I'm only in pain when I get up from sitting down or when I try to lay down in the bed. I dont see how people are returning to work in four days I'm not ready for work -:) I pray you're feeling well and improving everyday. Good luck to you in the future and we take this journey day by day.
