Pureed Diet --- Meal Plan Suggestions

I was banded on 4/24/2012, I am currrently two weeks post op and began my pureed diet on yesterday. My instructions are to have 6 two to four oz mini meals per day. I will be returning to work on tomorrow and would like some suggestions on my meal plan. Look forward to hearing from all of you. Thank you !!!

I haven't had surgery yet but I did try out a couple of things i read from this site and another. Just trying to test out foods. Try this; 1/4 cup low- fat ricotta cheese, I sprinkle a little italian seasoning on it, couple of tablespoons of marinara sauce, sprinkle some parmsean, and a little mozzrella cheese and microwave for 1 minute. Believe me I was smiling and said " ok when I do my pureed diet I can handle this.

Another thing I tried was ricotta cheese mixed with applesauce and sprinkle some applespice seasoning in it. (I didn't have applespice, so I used allspice) It was good.

You can puree pretty much anything by adding milk or water to liquefy it. One great suggestion I read elsewhere was to puree different foods separately so that you can put small amounts of each on your plate and enjoy the different flavours. Wish I had thought of that when I was in the mushy stage!
