  1. your weight goes up and down all day long....and in the first 4 to 6 weeks, you really shouldnt get so hung up on (losing a set amount) your body is healing....and the band is working even if you dont feel/think it is...also, i dont have any fills so just having a fill (doesnt guarantee) you to lose weight..so eat your allotted amounts (protein/veggie/fruit) and drink alot and watch what happens...and def stop weighing all the time...find that want power and stick with it..
  2. sorry to read this..
  3. you deserve a gold star if i could give you one i would. you are showing exactly how its done. i see great success in your future
  4. what a hard working woman...no wonder you look so dangum gorgeous in your profile picture......sexy thang
  5. dang eye candy.....next time take a dangum pic so i can see WTheck??
  6. whatever was in your coffee when you wrote this, let me have some GF well said
  7. preaching? if a successful person is (preaching) aka you, missy, aj, grammy, alex, jeannie, b52, then let me get in the first row pew my thoughts is this the ones most vocal (against those successful) are the ones who are not following the rules/guidelines and are just upset with themselves as this (magical) cure all hasnt worked to their (specifications) and blame everyone........successful people, the band, the dr ..everyone but the person they need to look at.. as always, looking foward to you guys next post.
  8. wow, a definite eye opener I so hope everyone reads this post
  9. every new person with the band and getting one needs to READ THIS post.
  10. so sorry about your dad. my thoughts/prayers to you.

this was just funny to me and its sad at the same time as it is also is partially true as some of these questions are asked and you have to wonder, do they really listen to the seminar, the dr, the nutritionist or are they just going through the motions to have the surgery?? the magical surgery..its magical if you use this valuable surgery correctly. that choice is up the the person
  12. this band saved my life. i was lucky to have a dr who told me (that unless i changed how i eat, and started exercising) no matter what surgery i got, it would not be successful. i find too many people are seeing this as an easy diet, or easy way out and a miracle and once they have surgery, they are eating like they use too or griping about no restriction or diverting off dr's orders. you have to help the lap band work. so if someone wants to get this, they need to change their entire attitude, their life and just want it bad enough to make it happen. no excuses
  13. jim...ingnorant people are just ignorant. i am so sorry some mindless thinking people posted thoughtless things. sometimes people just say things that are better left unsaid. i wish i could take it away and make you feel better. i love ya.
  14. i love reading your blogs. its like i am right there with you going through this incredible with you..thanks for opening up and sharing.
  15. i feel you flo and i am so glad to know you and call you a friend. i get pm's also and answer and then after i offer whatever i can to encourage or suggest, its crickets. i guess sometimes i hit a nerve with my straight talking no BS answers, but i wasted enough time with doing that. so, not much we can do. so on behalf of everyone, thank you for being you and encouraging everyone on this forum. whether or not some thank you or not, i sure do. so please accept that from me on behalf of those who do not say it.
  16. if only the newly banded and pre bandies would read this and let it sink in...
  17. i cant wait to join you there one day this year i hope
  18. so proud of you eye candy
  19. negative nellies are running wild in these here parts. let her say whatever but YOU keep doing what works for you. you are not her and what works for her does not and should NOT work for you. i think if you continue to do well, maybe she will too. sounds as if you gave her a (little encouragement) by having your band. so just be you, be nice, kind, helpful, thoughtful and realize you are doing this for you the right way. and wish her the best and if i know you like i think i do, you will be there for guidance when she (fails). peace
  20. no other words needed: As the new year approaches, stop betraying yourself with the band. Follow your instructions that you were given and even if your weight loss is slow, a pound loss is a loss no matter how you look at it.
