Got to love the confusion about 'ideal weight'
i couldnt agree more... my goal weight by the doctors charts (are something i dont think i can ever get to) and i am not saying that to sound b***h** but its true..for my height, it is what i weighed when i was in my mom's stomach when she was pregnant...i told my surgeon, the number i want to get to is me being healthy, mobile and something i can get to and stay with (and maintain happily)......i believe that the band/plication will help me with that part.... i recall sitting in his office and him asking what did i want to weigh at the time he said it, i was well over 300+ and i said i'd like to get to 299....and then 289 etc......and he laughed......and then i said eventually, i'd love to see 199.....and if i got there, i am okay with that....he said it is technically (obese still) but i said its something i can get too and right now that is all i care about..... i am not a hooked on number person i dont own a scale and use the clothes i have (or now have to buy all the time) as my guide....call me strange, but it works for me... so do i have a number in mind after all this rambling, well yeah but right now, i just want to see 199 make an appearance . GREAT post lellow GREAT comment missy

Afraid to do something wrong...
dont be afraid they sewn the band onto your stomach and it would take a good bit to make it move in that fashion...why it is best to follow the dr's instructions in regards to the amount of food you eat, carbonation etc....to make sure this doesnt happen...sure some things do happen, but why worry about something that may or may not happen..... i am 13 months post, no issues (never stuck or anything) and there are plenty of others way longer than me with NO issues dont worry.....enjoy this new life you are beginning. (again)

Can you hear it...........
you really should stop downing yourself by saying (you only lost 60 pounds)..that is an incredible feat... be proud of that

Day 1 (but not really)
dont *think* you can do this....KNOW that you can....... PS, if those incisions are looking like this for much longer, def go back to your doctor......and PPS, protein will help you stay full longer (its your gas for your body)..do what your body needs...

What are the rules?
- Im Starving: Yea I can Eat...Oops I ate to Much
agree with eye candy, seems very soon to eat after surgery....but if your dr okay's it, then so be it.....to help with hunger, eat more protein...i do not see that...per what you wrote.....- Water Bottle
- Band and process failure
dont hate me for what i am about to write i write it because i care if you eat more calories than your gonna burn off, you will gain...so dont..eat your band allotted amount..focus on lean protein, fruit and veggies, get out of the processed/fast foods...drink alot of water/crystal light and get on with it....so you cant access your port...dont use that excuse as a reason to gain weight..the band is there, working fill or not..i have no fills but i am cautious of my food intake....some call it a diet, i dont care... i call it doing what i have to do to make it work and so can you, if you want.- Getting Back on Track
hang in there larry- Commitment
excellent place to put it...well wrote and loved it- The things you will buy because they are on clearance...

no food is bad so what if you had 2 biscuits or 14 you dont eat like that all the time and every so often is A-OK dont beat yourself up one meal wont make you gain 25 pounds FYI, tonight is my one splurge meal and i am looking forward to it and will relish each delicious bite and not waste one moment in yeah its bad and yeah its not good for me..so what.. all the best eye candy- Inspirations

i def use your thoughts/wise words to guide me through this life long journey that i am currently on. and in discussing all issues with you, and reading alot of issues on this forum with being too tight, i am on the side of being loosey goosey when i ever do start getting fills. you made some excellent points, (aka the slider as it is easier to eat) and it makes perfect sense..thank you for sharing. you being a success that you are, needs to blog more and help/encourage those who need it me being one of them- When Your Bandwagon Stalls
great article jean. very informative and def a direct hit.- Rotting Taste
i bet if you asked or told your dr, they could offer you better advice than you'd get here- Back in the hospital
take it easy and rest best you can.- boybanded once banded
well, good for you. just keep following the dr's instructions and you will be at goal in no time.- Day 4 and feeling better
sip and sip and then keep on sipping--this is vital i agree with the others, urine should be yellow and dark could mean becoming dehydrated sounds like you are doing great..good attitude - Im Starving: Yea I can Eat...Oops I ate to Much
