Well, today has been a day or worry for me....I worry I am going to do something to make the band slip, port move...etc. It's hard not to use your stomach muscles at all! I sleep on my side and I worry about that. I just don't want to mess anything up! I hope this goes away but it seems people have problems even after having the band in for a long time without. AAArrrgghhhhh! :(

dont be afraid

they sewn the band onto your stomach and it would take a good bit to make it move in that fashion...why it is best to follow the dr's instructions in regards to the amount of food you eat, carbonation etc....to make sure this doesnt happen...sure some things do happen, but why worry about something that may or may not happen.....

i am 13 months post, no issues (never stuck or anything)

and there are plenty of others way longer than me with NO issues

dont worry.....enjoy this new life you are beginning. (again)

My Dr. told me for word "You are NOT going to hurt yourself or the band". He told me to go to the gym and work out; however no heavy weight lifting. I totally relate to what your saying though. I am 4 weeks post op and still a tad tight/sore when I get up first thing in the morning and or when I eat.
