  1. okay guys, not the most flattering pic because I was concentrating, but this is a very basic Acro Yoga pose. The bottom is a "base" and the top is a "flyer". I had based many time, and sorta flew, but that day, evan if it doesn't show it, I took my hands away and completed the posture. I held it for about a minute, supported by her feet on my pelvic bones. This is a NSV all its own. I can’t buy this. I can’t “afford” surgery for this. I didn’t get this because of anything other than my persistence. The classes are at Blue Tree Yoga in Houston, and they are donation. So you can’t not “afford” it…I did it…it just keeps going in my mind like that. “I did it”. For the first time, I think, I feel very deep down like there is no going back. :’)
  2. I don't think we do a CSA, so far we have felt they are not any better for the consumer than what we already offer - and it puts you in no commitment, and (especially during events like the drought they are experiencing) no pressure to produce more than the land can spare. We do sell at a local community harvest farmer's market. We also have eggs . But our rates are good, quality awesome and Chris (Hubby's Mom)is respected and saught after in our community for advice, etc. We do Border Collie rescue and rehabilitation, so if you ever need a gentle, smart, active companion that has not been treated so gently, let us know! I can give you the number if you would like.
  3. "tooterville" - lol, is where we all are once we start the protien shakes
  4. Remember, you can boil nuts and make them so much softer - but be good to your intestines and don't make nuts or seeds what you transition on to solids with!
  5. When I have people ask me about when to switch over I say it is kind of like going to fast on a bike around a curve...you don't know you've gone too fast until you wiped out, so why don't you just take it slow, and make sure you get around it?
  6. You just can't think about it like that - and it sounds like maybe you think too much about it. Let it go with a big deep breath. I lost an aquaintance who never got to her first post on this forum (I found it out about 2 weeks ago) we had been texting after meeting in the doctors office, then nothing...don't let death rule you while you are living...I have had to deal with that too much. Bright pink and red energy for you to use to burn away the worries...
  7. I have no answers for you, really, except you will get glimpses into how you will eventually feel - it feels good. I apparently still see myself as a 18-20...I am a 12-14, according to my clothes.
  8. Yes, now - you could be in a very serious way. Do it now.
  9. and Insanity - "you don't buy the t-shirt you earn it"!!!
  10. I would get a second opinion about this - I think at least you should not have to pay for the services of whoever botched this up.
  11. It definately becomes harder, but you can do it. Consider getting a weighted vest for your runs, or if you wear slacks to work maybe ankle weights - stuff like that actually gives you an edge, since you are putting back some of the weight you had on during your workouts! I walk occasinally with a medicine ball, and kind of swag it back and forth between my arms...
  12. don't buy alot of any one protien drink, chances are you will NOT want that same drink over and over and over and over and over... Variety will also make it feel less like a chore. I suggest trying a variety pack from one like unjury or chike, and when you see one is favorable to you, buy it in a bucket, but perhaps the10-20 servings not mega-bucket xxx, lol
  13. Something in what you are doing is acting as a trigger, you get a cue, it starts the trigger and urges on the habit (head hunger). Consider reading "The Power of Habit" by Dughill - it explains it sooo well.
  14. So you have done a barium drink or equivalent and they confirmed a leak? Not a heart attack or infection?
  15. MIne could not make it in for my initial visit, so the doc scheduled him one on his own (which I could not then make, grrrr!) It would have been nice to do that part together.
  16. You look beautiful. Very curvy and you glow! Yay for you!
  17. Wow, curious - Would be VERY interested in a blog if you have time - just the random different things you notice over there regarding the office visits, way you are treated - maybe even assumptions and taboos.
  18. And you will be oh-so-much-more careful, lol... It happens to most of us, if not all of us. Wait till your allergies kick in or you get a cold that drains into your stomach - OMG that was aweful, I was full of snot, literally, for 3 days.
  19. They will insert it into your tummy through your mouth and it will guide the staple line. Done correctly it assures they wont undersize your tummy, amoung other things. I have read some papers that suggest your doc should measure the length of your stomach before deciding on the diameter bougie they use, but my doc was unaware of it - most are, really.
  20. I am sure you can do it (!) but are you looking for more weight loss, or looking for more definition? I had a friend confuse the two and spent 4 months losing xtra weight she really did not have to (healthwise) spare. I say it because you look so tiny!
  21. That is cool. It rocks when stuff like that happens!
  22. I think a blood test woul dbe a good idea - and make sure you are taking miltivitamins and gettin in your water.
  23. Prayer for you! See you on the losing side!
