  1. i could successfuly eat salad at 4 months. the skins of some of the veggiess still dont go down well at 6 months. i peel the tomatoes and cucumbers.
  2. I use a band atleast twice a week. Really inexpensive and tons of workouts! Googling workouts at home will get you tons of exercises! Find some things to use around the house as weights. Cans of veggies? Also you need full body workouts. A hundred crunches a day will kill you and not really do as much as you think. Crunches only work the top ab muscles. You need some core exercises. Doing lunges, squats, Planks all will help.
  3. Remember! These Very important words. Marathon not sprint!! Sure it's frustrating when your not seeing the scale move, but it's the number at the end that is most important!
  4. I eat Fage or chaboni 99% of the time plain. I will add a fresh peach or strawberries or canned fruit in water. It still adds carbs and sugar but it has no added sugar and low on the glycemic index. The fruit on bottom has a lot of added sugar to add "flavor"
  5. I'm almost 6 months out And still stress. Aim for 3-5 meals a day. Start with protein don't force more food than your sleeve wants. You're still healing. Water and protein are most important. You will eventually get to where you are eating everything you need.
  6. You might not even be able to eat a donut. I haven't been able to. It got stuck in my throat and I had to hack it back up :-/
  7. I had a Delish cupcake today. But I'm on vacation and only ate half. It was yummy I have learned to listen To my sleeve and am able RO curb my cravings.
  8. Mine is my hips. I'm pear shaped and that weight is holding on. My arms were bad but I started a Weight training regimen and they are saggy but much better.
  9. I can't hardly drink them either. My husband wanted to kill me cause we bought all those proteins and I couldn't bare to drink them. Now I drink muscle milk if I struggle with protein. Mostly now I can get it in my food. Good luck finding one.
  10. As long as you dont try to do them both together i think you will be alright LOL
  11. Yes. You need to replace your bad habit with a good habit. Many WL patients become alcoholics, drug addicts. You have to find something you love to do. I took the first four weeks after surgery to get a grasp on my addiction. Figured out my triggers and conquered my food demon. Good luck on doing the same! It's a hard road.
  12. Yeah just find one scale and stick with it, or figure out the difference between the scales. My gym and surgeon office scales are 3 pounds off.
  13. At a month out I was at about the same as you. No more than 500. the NUT says to add calories after your body has enteted starvation mode and is holding onto the calories. I would talk to your NUT and decide what is best for you. I wouldn't add too many though because if you get to high to early you will keep going up and will be getting too many calories.
  14. I had the honey mustard grilled wrap today, I unwrapped the chicken, took of Half the shell scraped off some sauce and wrapped it back up. About 200 calories 13 grams of protein. I just ate lower fat stuff the rest of the day. Everything in moderation!
  15. Yes it will hurt for awhile. It is the gas in your chest most likely. Just drink slowly and you will be fine.
  16. You need to go to a store like Kohls or Sears they have every kind of Levi's under the sun. They have a label called Curve ID, for every shape and size, you can even go online and they go through all the different types. I love them. Happy Jean shopping. Jeans are a very important piece I clothing you wanna get it right.
  17. I sorta have abs, when I suck in my chest I can see a 4 pack. I'm going to try very hard for abs and if I get a flat stomach I'm going to say "F" those stretch marks and wear a bikini.
  18. I LOVE the elliptical!! I do it every other day. I started out on the lowest level 5 minutes then just kept adding minutes then raised my resistance then my cross trainer. Now I do 45 minutes 20 cross train 7 resistance. I can't do the treadmill very often, I have healed shin splints and I don't want them to come back. I can't do the bike either. It hurts my assets sooo bad.
