  1. Water water water!!! I am 7 months out, I wa in a 5 week stall. I upped my water to 12 cups a day 3 1 ltrs of Dasini, smart water or evian) and I list 4 pounds in 5 days. My body was holding onto it I guess. It sounds like everything else is good!
  2. Word to the wise. Do not spend a ton of money on protein till after surgery! I could only Drink one type of the 4 I bought. Over a hundred bucks! Hubs was upset about that one!
  3. Usually 2 weeks. Lifting 40 pounds probably not a good idea 2 weeks out. If you can take more time I would. I only worked part time do it didn't hurt to take 4 weeks off. I'm glad I did too cause I was still taking a nap at 3 weeks! You are just so tired. It's hard to explain, but your body needs time to refuel and get used to eating 1/4 the food you used to.
  4. Regular pudding was on my list as well. I am allergic to most artificial sweeteners. I didn't eat it but twice I think but it didn't kill me, or hinder my weight loss. I'm 7 months out 90 pounds down. Good luck on your journey. It is a tough one at first but so worth it! I went to counseling before surgery to deal with my food issues, that with the motivation that this was it, My final chance and I made it through. So will you. Just reach out when you need help.
  5. I am 7 months out, I just had my first drink (sex on the beach) 3 weeks ago. I was buzzing after the first one. I waited 15 minutes ate some food and i felt normal again. I'm thinking 2 drinks and I would've been snoring!
  6. My doc told me 800 was good during losing phase then 1200-1500 during maintence phase.
  7. No, my doc told me the staples should be invisible to the metal detectors. It would be interesting to see in a TSA screen though.
  8. You are doing great! I agree with everyone you need to exercise, being only a few weeks you don't need to go hard core, I was still taking long naps at 3 weeks out. You need to get into good exercise habits now cause eventually the weight loss will slow and you will need your exercise for the weight to continue to fall off. Also it seems that some people lose fast, then slow down and some lose a few pounds a week consistently, but at the 8-9 month mark the pounds for both sets of people are pretty similar. Also, the more you have to lose, the faster it will come off. good luck and enjoy the ride.
  9. All these Dr. Neasers I didn't know we're around!! I was sleeved by him Dec 28, 2011. Down 90 pounds. Good to know everyone has good things to say about him! He's a great guy. Support group is Mon the 6th at the office everyone should come, Marsha is hosting!
  10. Our doc will give you a shot on your visits, or write an Rx, To give them to yourself once a month. That's what I do, well my husband anyway. It is a muscle shot so not hard to do at home. Hardest part is getting all the Fluid out of the little container lol.
  11. Haha. The doc gave the pic of my stomach to my husband. Hahaha. Just read that again.
  12. I have the pic of the stomach that was removed. I asked for it and the doc gave it to my stomach. I plan to use it as motivation when I get down and out.
  13. The Protein shots have collagen and soy protein, which aren't the best Proteins for us post surgery. Pure Whey is best. My NUT says they are better than nothing but not to depend on them for all your protein needs.
  14. Do you have a gym membership? Most gyms have classes, try one out. I go to a few classes a week. My instructor is amazing and you really burn the calories. At my boot camp class on Sat I burned 840 calories!
  15. I am 7 months out. I have been stalled for 5 weeks. This is my first one so I'm trying to be patient. I have increased my Water (gallon a day) started different exercises and raised my calories since I have been at 650 for 3 months now. Being so early out my main advise would be liquids!! Water water water!!!!! The more in, the more out. Your body can hold up to 10 pounds of extra water. If you aren't getting enough your body holds on to it. Good luck.
  16. I was a 24-26 at 285. I have always been hippy. Now at 203 I'm still at an 18 but wear a 12 top. It's BS, but atleast now I can shop in 1 part instead of going back and forth to plus and misses section.
  17. I eat the 100 calorie bags as well. I get the plain ones then and a little white cheddar sprinkling. The powder has almost no calories and just a little sodium.
  18. I do every 4 hours by the clock cause I forget to eat all the time now! Never thought I would say that ever!! It will get to be dinner time and I will realize I haven't eaten all day.
  19. It does suck, but it does slow Down. Mine started at 3 months. I would sit crying in the shower over my 2 handfuls of hair that i washed out. I am 7 months now and it has pretty much stopped. I have a lot of thin spots, but luckily no big bald spots. I got side bangs, and collegen spray. In a turn of irony. All my new baby hairs are WHITE and SILVER! :-/ oh well hair color is cheaper than wigs.
  20. I am 7 months out I have been stalled for 5 weeks. I have concentrated on Water and switching up my exercise routine. They are hard to go through it but you will get through I promise. Water. Water water water!!!!! Most important. I have bumped mine up to a gallon a day, raised my carbs and calories and just trying to wait patiently. I have lost 90 and have 43 to go.
  21. My stylist told me " look at all your cute little WHITE hairs!" it's growing back. It's just coming back silver. HUMRPH!!
  22. those look yummy, like no bake cookies!!
  23. I drink the Motts for Tots when I need something besides water. Less sugar and still tastes pretty good.
  24. For the first couple months it will seem like that. I'm really not sure what it is, but it is common.
