  1. I went cold turkey. It was hard ofcourse. I drank it up to 11:59 the night I started my preop. I put on my big girl panties sucked it up and dealt with the pain. It was nothing in comparrison to my surgery pain lol.
  2. I cross my legs non stop now.My husband actually grumbled at me a few days ago cause I got dirt on the dashboard. He said "I know your happy you can cross your legs in the car, I'm happy for you to. But will you please get your damn shoe off the dashboard" hahahahaha. (my shoe was resting on it)
  3. I try to treat my tummy like a newborn baby, even 6 months out. I have shared how bad a Mt Dew junkie I was (regular) I stayed high on the sugar and caffeine. I just don't understand the appeal of caffeine and sugar free lol. I had 1 sip of coke on accident and tried to claw the coke back out lol.
  4. If you want to go with a bar I would go with the Atkins or South Beach. Most protein bars have a ton of carbs, even the ones that have alcohol sugars. You are better to go with a plain Greek yogurt and a fruit. The fruit is a complex carb which is better than the sugar in most protein bars. Also, sometimes our Timmy's don't like protein bars, too sweet.
  5. And let me tell you don't add it back after you are fairly sugar free. I am pretty sugar free in my daily life. I do fruits and such, I just try really hard not to do added sugars. Cakes, pies, donuts, ice cream you know all the good stuff. I am 7 months out and went to my moms last week, and I ate a lot of sugar. Donuts, s'mores, cheesecake. Sweet tea every day. I didnt gain, I stayed under my daily count and did extra cardio but now I'm home and feeling the withdrawals. It's awful!!! I am drinking a gallon of Water a day fighting cravings hard core. It's just not worth it! Word to wise once your clean stay that way
  6. Tuna salad with a little mayo, egg salad, chicken salad, any kind of babyfood. Really you can eat anything you can blend and that agrees with your tummy. Nothing to drastic ofcourse!
  7. Oh wow I can't remember. I honestly didn't count! I just tried to get in my protein and water. Probably 3-5 hundred. Besides protein shakes most of the other stuff I ate on full liquids was sugar free.
  8. Even if you are trying to gain weight I would do it as healthy as possible. Excessive butter, oil isn't good for your heart. I would add more beans, peanut butter, more fruit.
  9. As long as you Are replacing the food with the muscle milk that is fine. If you are drinking 300 calories plus eating 1000 calories you might want to cut back.
  10. I am 7 months out, i have been in a stall since June 20. I have been doing everything right, just stuck. I raised my calories, carbs and drink 100oz of water work out 5 hours min a week. It really sucks but I know it's temporary and eventually it will fall off. Right now I'm just concentrating on being fit and healthy. Good luck! This too shall pass.
  11. I try to stay at 60. I did 40 but felt like poop! Its just finding what works for you and your body. My NUT says I should be at 90-100 and I laugh at her. No way.
  12. I saw this on Pintrest and pinned it. Haven't done it yet though.
  13. Oranges have 15 carbs for a medium. That's a lot For me to have! When I was on purées I would mix a little sugar free pudding powder in the Greek. All the flavor not as many carbs. Tasted yummy too.
  14. Berries. Raspberry, blackberry cranberry, lemon lime are the lowest fruit on the index . Peaches, blueberries, most melons, strawberries are all medium index. oranges and their family, pears, Grapes all the highest. But really if you want a sweet snack, a hunk of grapes is still better for you than a Twinkie right? I eat Tons of fruit every week. Especially since this is the perfect season!
  15. I wish mine would've come back curly. Mine is coming back all silver. Grrr.
  16. What is a mixed drink that doesn't have any soda or fizzy stuff? I drink very rarely but am going out with a friend next week and was thinking of a drink. But I can't do the fizz.
  17. you cant just throw away 34 years without trying everything first. like PDX man said you have to figure out what is wrong with him!! Men are stubborn, you probably know that after all this time. and if it is a sexual problem on his end he is embarrassed. Maybe he just needs some TLC and to know that you still love him and find him attractive. He is seeing this body he loved for so many years change shape and shrink in front of his eyes almost daily. it is quite overwhelming! good luck.
  18. the sugar free mango one is quite delicious. I also get a mt dew on occassion, the sugar and carbs are no higher than a cookie snack, not good for often ofcourse but i only drink water so i dont feel to bad having one on occassion.
  19. i started at 2 months and still cant find one that tastes good enought that i dont force myself to eat.
  20. It is very intense! You might want to google the fit test and see If you can do it. If you can't, try Power 90. It is the lowest level of Beachbody.
  21. The stairs kick my butt still, at 204!! My trainer makes me run up and down the stairs at the gym and I call her all kinds of bad words while I'm doing it. HUMRPH.
