  1. Check the calories in the hot sauce. You have to watch them. But I don't think hot sauce per say would hurt at all to have some in your broth. Sounds like you are doing well post op. Keep us posted on your progress. :) p.s. - when you are allowed full liquids, try some chocolate sugar free pudding packs and add 1/2 scoop protein powder in with it. It tastes good and it really gives you a full feeling. Just a good way to get extra protein in. It is sometimes hard to get in enough protein and they say if you don't your hair can fall out and you will feel fatigued. I also sprinkle the protein powder on other foods and salads as well. I still have a protein shake for my breakfast too to get the protein in. Remember eggs, fish, chicken, tuna and fat free or 2 percent cheese are all high in protein.

  2. Hang in there. Trust everyone on this forum when they tell you it will get easier and you will feel better. I am 3 months out and had the same anxieties as you, and now I can eat pretty much what I want and the difference is - I eat very small quantities and guess what - I am satisfied. The trick is to keep yourself busy busy busy. When you feel like eating - distract yourself or have a liquid drink. It will suffice at the time. Get that protein in as it makes you feel full. And take walks it will clear your mind. Try to find a hobbie if you can. Keep your mind occupied with good things. Time is on your side. It will go quickly believe me. I can't believe it is 3 months for me as it seems like only yesterday I was the one going through " liquid hell". And last but not least, surround yourself with POSITIVE people - it will make you feel so much better! Good luck! :)

  3. I too was extremely low on Vit. D and B12 defficient. That sure explains the increased pain fatigue and depression I guess. I thought it was my fibromyalgia acting up. I take supplements now and just had blood work drawn yesterday so I hope it has improved. My wt. loss has been very slow this month which is very depressing. I hope you will improve with supplements as well. I know how frustrated you must feel right now not knowing whats up. Good luck to you and take care. Keep us posted. :)

  4. I feel exactly the way you do too! I can't seem to get the wt. off fast enough. It gets very discouraging especially when you are trying so hard. But I know in the long run it will eventually come off. But I think you are doing a great job so keep it up and I will too!!!:)

  5. I hate my band, tonight i ate soup, really and for no reason I barfed it up, I am sick of barfing, I am sticking to a "diet" which I am not hungry on, I eat slow, exercise yet I find I am barfing 3-4 times a week....

Yah they say if you throw up you can cause your band to slip so I am so afraid of that since I have also thrown up 3 times now.

  6. Yah - that was me too 2 months ago! But I was succesfully banded 1/17 and have lost 40 lbs so far. You will be able to eat solid foods in no time at all - just small portions. Everyone gets nervous and doubts themselves before surgery date trust me! You will do fine. Good luck and keep us posted! :)
