  2. I was banded in Texas and I now live in pittston pa and I need a fill.
  3. The last few days my stomach has been roaring and rumbling. I am eating like I normally do and I don't feel hungry but these are so deep and loud at least to me. I can't imagine what this annoying feeling can be. It doesn't hurt it jsut rocks my core sometimes. The first time it happened I thought I was going to vomit because I could feel it resonate from the bottom of my stomach all the way up and out. I haven't weight agian since Monday but I guess I have been curious so I will probably go weigh this afternoon. Anyone got any ideas on what is going on?
  4. Are you getting your surgery done at True Results in Houston. If so who is your Dr.? I can tell you from experience that the surgery is so easy. The part that is hard is walking around after the surgery. But beleive me it may be tough but just tell yourself this to shall pass. Walking helps relieve the gas pain. Everyday I felt a little better. If you have a reclining chair I would sleep in it for the first few nights because you will have frequent trips to the bathroom because of all the IV fluids. Drink those shakes they make all the difference. If you don't mind me asking what is your starting weight I started at 389 I am 1 month after surgery and I have lost 42 pounds including 13 pounds during my pre op diet. I weigh 349 today.
  5. In the past week I have only lost 4 pounds. I now weigh 350.2. Solid foods are a bit more difficult than I expected. When I eat solids I chew till there isn't much left but even than I still get the pain in between my shoulder blades and I have to stop eating. I am not getting much food down. I find myself sticking to mushy foods because they give me more comfort. Tuna salad, egg salad. meat sauce, cottage cheese , applesauce and shakes are about the only things I feel comfortable eating. A friend told me I should try eating lunch meats because they are already sliced thin. I think I am going to try this approach. My new goal is to lose 10 pounds before June 4th. with 17 days I think that is a managable goal.
  6. Ok so I weight in this morning at 350.2 I have only lost 0.4 pounds in a week. I think that starting the mushies has slowed down my weight loss. I am still only able to eat a small amount but its definately more than I was eating on the first 2 stages of this diet. I get one 11 oz. shake down a day over the course of 2 hours and then 3 oz. cottage cheese for lunch and 3 oz. applesauce for a snack a couple hours later. 3 oz. of Tuna salad or chicken salad for dinner. I do notice that i get hungry faster now it used to be a few hours before I was hungry agian but lately I am hungry about every 1hour and a half. Graduation is tommorrow and even though I didn't reach my goal to be under 350 I think I just need to celebrate the weight I have already lost. From 389 to 350.2 is a long way and I feel wonderful.
  7. I graduate college with an Associates Degree on Friday. My goal is to be under 350 before I graduate. I weigh 350.6 now so I think in a week I can even exceed my goal. I haven't been under 350 since my son was born 3 years ago. In the course of a month I have lost all the weight I gained after my baby was born. It's a big step and I am really happy. A lot of people are noticiing the changes in my clothes.
  8. To date I have lost 35 pounds. I weight 354 and I am feeling much better. I still have some minor pain in the belly area but nothing major. My steri strips still haven't fallin off so that concerns me a little. I called yesterday to get a appointment for my first fill. I will go on May 25th. I am a little worried about the first fill I would like to know what I am in for before I go in for it. If anyone has info please let me know. I am doing fairly well with the post op diet. I still worry about not getting enough protein in my diet. I am not hungry most of the day. I try to get one shake in and lots of water and tea. Jello used to taste good but its getting old fast. I have a slight pulling feeling on my right side of my stomach it feels like a pulled muscle. It is very uncomfortble but I am dealing with it. Hopefully its not major. I dont know if its just me or not but wearing a bra feels constricting. My breathing and the pain in my stomach gets worse when I wear a bra. Mostly I am tired alot of the day. I think my energy level will go up some when I start my mushies phase. I might start it a little early like possibly this weekend its only 2 days early.
  9. OK I just had surgery a week ago today. I had my Surgery on Monday and was back to work on Thursday. I was still on Pain meds so I was a little out of it. I did alot of walking and I was extremely exhausted when I got home. It is very possible to go back to work so quickly but you need to do what your body tells you to. I still have pain and I think the diet is has drained a lot of my energy. Hope this helps.

  11. Ok I am not going to lie. After the surgery I was miserable nauseaous and in pain. But the next day I felt great I a still not drinking much. Sipping on water all day. Able to get at least one protein shake down in a day. 4 tbsp of sugar free jello and some broth with protein powder. I feel pretty good today 4 days after surgery. The worst is past me. Thank you lord I finally did what I had to do to get on a health life track.Weight in today at 364.4 from 389 Pre Surgery thats pretty darn good I think.
  12. I am doing really great. I am really excited about the surgery. If anyone has any tips on how to deal with post op I would really appreciate it. Someone suggested a belly belt for stomach support. Or even Ideas about post op diet?
  13. I have been very good the last three days. Drinking my shakes and eating what I am supposed to for the most part. Today I called my patient advocate Rachel to get some details on my surgery for May 2nd. Insurance is covering the surgery and I pay $5500.00 which is 24 payments of $260.00 every month starting in June for the next 2 years. And guess what they had a opening for this Monday . So surgerygot moved up a week and it is going to be in 4 days. I am so excited. I lost 14.6 pds since April 4th. I am going to go tonight and get my supplies and get my house ready for Easter and my new life. Please have me in your prayers on Monday April 25th.
  14. Ok so this weekend was crazy. I made some bad choices when it comes to food. We were running everywhere and I lost my train of thought. I am not even going to say what I ate because its to embarassing. I just weight in today and I gained a pound. I am feeling really down right now and I can't even bring myself to talk about it. 2 weeks until surgery I hope I can make my goal.
  15. Yesterday I was so not interested in my shakes. I only drank half for breakfast and half for lunch. Needless to say I was starving yesterday afternoon. I cooked a whole chicken in the crockpot all day and it was calling my name when I got home. LOL Well I had 6oz of breast meat and 1 cup of chicken stuffing. It was pretty filling. Last night I was feeling very empty so I had a small bowl of mini wheats and 2% milk. I went a little over my calories. But my carbs were high becasue of the stuffing. I am struggling so much with this diet. I am going to weight in agian today so hopefully I am still on track to losing weight. I have lost about 10 pounds so I still have 10 pounds to go till surgery and I have 2 weeks so I think It is very doable. I am trying to keep strong.
