I just finished my 6 month supervised nutritional visits first 3 with the bariatric hospital and the last 3 with my pcp. I just finished up with everything sept 19th. So, I called my Bariatric Dr.'s office and informed them that I had finished and all my paper work with lab results, nutritional visits, and GI results were all faxed in. They confirmed that everything was received.

BUT then I asked what happends now they said they want to see me for my final follow up consultation with the surgeon... my question is what does this mean has anyone else had to do this I am sure they have not submitted to my insurance yet...

Also, I have gained 9pds I am not sure if it's muscle or since I weight train most of the time.

Mine was more for the surgeon to ask if I had any questions and to have his staff make sure the scheduling was set and for me to pay my portion of what would be due. They also gave me my surgical forms etc. Pretty routine. I am surprised though that they haven't told you yet if your surgery was approved. I didn't see my surgeon until after we had approval and were ready to schedule surgery.

I feel like I should call them and ask questions before I go down there. My surgeon is in a another state, so I would hate to take that drive for questions I can ask over the phone... I don't know what I should do.

I saw my dr week before my surgery. It was final visit before. Any questions or anything like that and what to expect -

So we're you already approved when you went in for your final visit?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
