Day 8 post op.... Im lucky because I haven't had any complications. I've been keeping my liquids down. My pain is getting much better. The only thing I must say is.... I'm so incredibly tired... granted I did alot today... I'm driving... I ran three errands and then did a bunch of my DIY (its a side job) .... I feel like I could nap forever. Is this normal... My mom says I have purple circles under my eyes... Is this normal. Is it just because the liquid diet is maybe not meant to go so long?

I have talked to several WLS patients that complain about being lethargic 5-6 to three months post-op. Everyone is different and I was back to work at ten days post-op and didn't have any issues with getting through the day. The first week was rough but once I started upping my Protein, Fluid and taking my Vitamins, my energy received a huge boost. I am a month (and a few days) post-op and I feel better today than I did yesterday, than I did a month again, than I did even three months pre-op.

I would imagine once you start upping your calories (through protein) and making sure you are getting in enough fluids, you'll start to feel better.

Im 8 weeks out today. I feel like I slept more in the first 2 weeks than I was awake. After that I just did a little more each day until I felt human again... I have been back to work for 3 weeks now and feel fine.

So good to hear. I definitely think the Protein will be my savior! Thanks for responding and I'm glad to hear you're both doing so well =D!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
