Top of thigh fat rolls

Recommended Posts

I'm pre-op for sleeve (Dr. Altimarno in MX) and my bmi is close to 60. Ever since I went over about 260lbs I've had fat rolls collect at the inner tops of my thighs. I wear a shaper every day to help conceal them but they're terrible! I'm hoping weight loss will help reduce them but I'm afraid they'll just become saggy skin and I'll never get away from damn thigh shapers. Does anyone else have this issue? Is the only way to correct it with surgery?

I definately have them most pronounced are my upper arms. For some reason I ended up with my grandmothers arms.

When I gained weight it collected there along with my stomach and legs.

Now that I have lost 119lbs I seen to have lost a lot all over but my legs seem to have gotten the thinnest the fastest. Yes, it has left me with lots of sagging skin everywhere. I call it the sharpei look. Or the mudslide. LOL!

I went into this knowing that would happen and sometime after reaching my goal and stabilizing I will likely have some plastics to help me feel better about the real problem areas.

My arms seem to be the most stubborn place of all regardless of what I do. I can wear a large or a 12 on my bottom half. That would be much smaller but the stomach skin holds me back. If I lost my tummy skin I would likely fit into a size 8 on the bottom. On top I am still wearing an xl mostly because my arms are still too big for a smaller size.

I can fit in a large in some cases but it is tight on my arms.

At the end of the day, I am thrilled with how I look right now and mostly how much better I feel. I can do things I have not been able to do for many years.

The weirdest feeling for me is how much I actually care about my appearance. When I weighed 315, I really truly could have cared less about how I looked in clothes and hated shopping. I would buy things that hid my body. Now I just want to show off how great I look, loose skin and all!

I had just horrible fat legs. I called it "dripping fat" and the more I lost, the worse the dripping got. My arms were bad, too. My legs are still fat, but after plastics, they are greatly improved, even if they are not as good as the rest of the plastics I had. I still have lots of cellulite, but the rolls and blobs of dripping fat are gone. It's shocking how much easier it is to move with all that gone! But even if I didn't have plastics, I could get by without Shapewear most of the time, and it was a billion times better than being fat!!

I used shapers to hide my fat.

I used shapers after WLS to hide the rolls of hanging skin.

I went from shapers to compression garnments after plastics.

Trust me, for me it has been never ending in these tight garnments.

I've been in them so long, now I feel naked without them.

For me, I had to have surgery to correct the hanging skin all over my body. The thigh lift did wonders for my body. Each person is different. You never know. . .

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
