  7. He is probably behind because he was rear ended yesterday so he had to reschedule his surgery. Have you joined his Facebook support group? He is extremely accessible on Facebook messenger. I messaged him the other night around midnight and he got back to me within a minute.
  8. I'm pre-op for sleeve (Dr. Altimarno in MX) and my bmi is close to 60. Ever since I went over about 260lbs I've had fat rolls collect at the inner tops of my thighs. I wear a shaper every day to help conceal them but they're terrible! I'm hoping weight loss will help reduce them but I'm afraid they'll just become saggy skin and I'll never get away from damn thigh shapers. Does anyone else have this issue? Is the only way to correct it with surgery?

  12. I'm 32 and I too have PCOS and have struggled with infertility. I'm getting a band to sleeve revision with Dr. Altimarano on Sept 11th. My bmi is now shooting towards 60 after failed lap band. I'm hoping this is my savior. Dr. Altimarano is amazing. I can't wait.
  13. Has anyone had a hard time bringing meds back across the border? I'd be very interested in getting b-12 shots to bring home.
  14. I'm getting a band to sleeve revision with Dr. Altamirano on Sept 11th. I did a ton of research and it all lead back to him. After my FaceTime consult with him it sealed the deal. I've never had a Dr. that I can Facebook message and will reply back to me almost instantly even at midnight. He's amazing.
  15. I'll be getting a band to sleeve revision on Sept 11 in Tijuana with Dr. Altamirano. I'm so excited!

  19. I too have struggled with my weight my whole life. I had lap band in 2011 and never was able to lose much. I'm having a revision to sleeve in the next few months.

  22. I'm sorry you're frustrated Running2thesleeve. I think the reason you're getting these responses is because what you're trying to get across isn't coming through very clear. It's hard for people to be supportive if they can't understand your message.

  24. Awesome! Keep posting your progress it'll help you and the rest of us on the same journey or contemplating WLS. ????????????
  25. There's is a pre-op health questionnaire that Bariatric Pal surgeons do and will address concerns based off the questionnaire. I looked into OCC as well. I would strongly recommend skyping or sending a private message to Dr. Altamirano if for nothing else but information. He is very accessible and responds quickly. There's no cost or commitment needed to talk to him.
  26. When I had lap band done my surgeon had me do the same diet 1.5 weeks pre-op. I lost around 10 lbs.
  27. I'm looking to revision from band to sleeve. I was banded in 2011 and never had much in terms of weight loss results. I'm hoping the sleeve will be a better solution for me. I'm self-pay so I've been researching Mexico surgeons.
  28. Have you checked into the finance options?
  29. I was banded in June 2011 (NWWLS Dr. Michaelson in Everett, WA). I never was able to lose more than 20lbs. About a year ago I had finally gotten fed up with the acid reflux, stuck food, and vomiting so I had it almost all unfilled. I've gained about 30 lbs back and am above my prebanded weight now. Recently I've become very interested in getting a revision done but my insurance doesn't cover it so I've been researching Mexico Does anyone have recommendations on a surgeon? I'm also interested in the pre-op process for having it done there. What do I need to have done in the states prior to arriving in Mexico? Any advice or personal stories is appreciated.
