If your tummy didn't mind them, it's not a bad thing but................5 seems like a lot at 2 1/2 weeks. I couldn't eat more then 1/2 cup of anything at that stage. Also, a little further out your going to want to watch your calorie intake and both Peanut Butter and crackers are heavy in calorie count. Peanut Butter is a great Protein, crackers are loaded with carbs and that's something I try to stay away from. Just my opinion............... Good luck

At 2 1/1 weeks post op I don't think that crackers should be something you should be eating. I understand the craving but please don't sabotage your new tool by divulging in your old habits, you will not only self sabotage yourself but this early on you could possibly hurt your new pouch! please try and stick to the foods your surgeon and nutritionist have you eating at this stage. It's not only for weight loss but also for your new pouch to heal. If you are craving Peanut Butter try PB2 sometimes you can find it at Wal-Mart but you can definitely find it at GNC. It has 85% less fat and calories than regular peanut butter and you mix it with Water. Try to find healthier alternatives for things that you crave, but also remember that a lot of times when you think your hungry it's really just thirst

I agree about the PB2. It is great! I order mine from Amazon. On Amazon it comes in a two pack one is regular Peanut Butter and the other is chocolate peanut butter. Both are very healthy alternatives to regular peanut butter. You should give it a try. I was skeptical at first so I ordered the two 6oz jars for 10 bucks on Amazon just in case they didn't have the taste of real peanut butter. It tastes just like it's normal counterpart. I put in my Protein Shakes and mix with a little Water to reconstitute it. Can't recommend it enough.

PB2 is also available in Target and Walmart and is pretty cheap. My nut says you can reconstitute it by adding Water till it's at a peanut butter-like consistency.

Yeah, I agree with the others. Stay away from crackers. The Peanut Butter isn't bad for you--good Protein, though I don't know how your doc and nut would feel about having it this soon. It's hard to find substitutions but you can! I'm still trying to find substitutions. In fact, right now I'm looking for healthy muffin recipes. I have found one so far but haven't made them yet. I'm not a good enough cook to know if almond flour or soy flour bakes the same as regular flour--anyone?

I recently bough some Weight Loss Surgery Cookbooks and have to look through them to find some good things to make.

@@esskay77, No, Almond flour and soy flour do not bake the same as regular flour. They have no gluten. If the recipe you have calls for the almond or soy flour, it's probably been done with that in mind. If it calls for regular flour but you would prefer almond or soy flour, I'd go online and look for a recipe that is made for those flours. My daughter has a gluten intolerance and I can't even count how many batches of muffins I threw out trying to convert a recipe to gluten free before we wised up.

      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
