I know there is a june post op page but it's from 2013 and very hard to go through all of those messages looking for support from people just going through the surgery although we love the veterans and all their wisdom sometimes you just want to talk to your graduating class about how things are going!!! congrats class of 2014 ha ha let's stay in touch here and post questions and answers and support each other im also considering making a Facebook page so let me know if that would be something you would enjoy for the group. this page is for sleevers and bypassers and banders of june 2014

I never thought I would get here. My date is June 17 for Sleeve surgery. I read the May thread faithfully and was sooooo jealous! Now it is our turn to take this awesome step into a new chapter of our lives. So helpful to know there are others out there to discuss our feelings as we go through the recovery steps, including sharing our successes and insecurities along the way. I will be here reading this thread when it changes to June, 2015!!!!! I hope all those scheduled for June surgeries stay with me!

Okie all you Junies.... Anyone who wants to add me as a friend, please feel free. Also, if you want to keep in touch via text or Facebook, send me a private message. I have seen the other post-op forums go quiet pretty quickly. If we want to stay in touch, to share success, share losses, share troubles and anything else...

Jennifer

Not to sound stupid here, but how do you add a friend on this site. I want to keep in touch with my June friends. We will have the same timing of surgery, post op, etc. it would be great to follow each other's progress together.

Hover your pointer over the persons name under their profile pic. a box should pop up that says their info. on the bottom near the left is an icon that looks like a head and shoulder with a little plus sign. click on it. That is the 'add as friend' button.

i agree on the facebook page. it's easier to keep in touch there. it's easier than weeding through the threads here. but i still love it here for other threads and support :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
