3 Years Out And Suddenly Burping Like Mad Should I Get Rid Of The Band?

Recommended Posts

Just had a Endoscopy and Doc said my esophogus by the band is a slightly enflamed swollen and that was after 2 day fast. He also said the band is not too tight at all. I still get constand burping all the time except while esting. Should i have it removed.. Anyone experience this!??

Ooh. I was going to say that apparently burping a lot can indicate that the band is too tight. Hmm. Maybe you should have a slight defill and see if that helps?

I wouldn't want to remove the band until I've tried anything else first.

The burping is driving my teensge daughter crazy! :) i know tho at this age 53 i would have gained weight on top of the weight i lost without it. I am almost 4 years in and I am experiencing the same thing. It's been going on well over 8 months now.

I have had 2 check ups including an X Ray and two de-fills on the band.

My doc has told me it is inflamation and it could be caused by stress, since nothing else that they have mentioned have applied to me. In the last few months I have worked on my stress management and there has been NO changes!

It drives me INSANE and now I have no insurance- I'm going to ask for a prescription to stop the inflamation.

If anyone else has had this problems I would love a response as well! Working and talking to people is EMBARRESING!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
