Tried Chocolate Unjury, a teaspoon of decaf instant coffee, 4oz water and a couple ice cubes this morning in a blender........it wasn't too bad...... :)

Got up at 8am with a killer headache again.. took tylenol and went back to bed for a couple hours...... better for now.

I really don't dislike my family but when they eat and eat and bring in junk food and actually forget I'm on a diet and offer it to me ALL weekend....... well I'm getting a little resentful  .......This also might be why I stayed in bed a little longer this morning.

Ok, today I gagged on my Unjury--tried the chicken flavor, mixed it with milk then heated it in a bowl, it was a bit salty which was actually a good change, but by the end I was gagging it down...this was not good! I ordered more Unjury on Friday, and I am glad I left out the chicken flavor!

The chicken flavor is ok in an actual soup...... so after banding and when we can eat full liquids and soft foods mix it - it's a little better than by itself. I can suffer through it if it's mixed with water and warm.

My usual trick is to make the cold protein drinks ahead of time and let them get real cold. Some I make with less liquid and just down it as fast as I can.

Thanks, I am glad I will be able to use in the future if not so much this week and next. I am going to try your suggestion of making the shakes ahead and getting them colder. I tried a bit of ice yesterday and that seemed to work well. I'm becoming partial to the chocolate!

SOOO excited, surgery is the 11th!!! Pre op liquid diet starts tomorrow am!! I too dont have to be there until, well 1p, but surgery is at 3p =))

Hi AirForce.Wife, Me too 2/2/2010 Good luck to you!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you all for the support!! Good luck to all the other Bandsters out there!!!!!!!!! Will post again when I get home from hospital Wednesday!

Hey Feb-sters~

OMG today I had my pre-op appt. on the phone. It was pretty simple, she took my meds. and their doses, she made sure I knew of someone that could help take care of me for the first week and she told me about what happens on the surgery day. I am so excited and nervous! One more visit with the surgeon and then I am off to surgery! I can't believe that I am doing this, I know I couldn't do it without reading all these posts. I thought I was the only one that is nervous about the LAP-BAND® and worried about if it will work for me! Thank you all for updates of what your doing getting ready for the big day. How is everybody doing with their liquid diet, if you need to follow one? I am having a problem with diarria it's aweful I drink a glass of water and boom I am back on the throne! Sorry about being so blunt, but I need to know if this is different that others so I can talk to my doctor if it's not. We all have great inner strength to do this, don't forget who you are doing it for and why, it will be totally worth it in the end.

Good Luck To You
