OMG amanda - it's so close!!! I bet you are so anxious! Just know we will all be thinking of you on the second - I cant wait to hear how it went. I also can't wait to meet you on the 8th - you will be my hero! I've done liquid diets before, it's really not too terrible - i would just say to sleep most of the day. HA. You wont even realize you're not eating. Just think - this is the first day of the rest of your life! I'm so excited for you and proud!

ps - the ticker, is that your daughter? she is BEAUTIFUL.

I know you'll do great - just keep thinking about your daughter if you get scared. She needs you to go thru with this. :tongue2:

I will be thinking about you all day - please let me know ASAP when you get home, so I can hear how it went.

WOW, that medication is great, sorry I have not posted, I have been sleeping alot. Everything went well Dr. Geiss is awesome.:wink2:

So glad you are feeling well so far! Great! When you feel up to it tell us how its going. I hope you can make it on Tues to the seminar but you may not be up to it, take it day by day. JoANn

I am so glad to hear everything went well - I figured you would be laying low for a few days postop. I can't wait to hear all about it! I also think Dr. Geiss is awesome! He arranged for me to have an earlier consultation appointment with him. It's 12/22 now instead of 1/14! So excited!

Hey Michelle! you got your date moved closer! maybe we will all be banded soon! I have been trying to get my BMI up to 40. I made it up to 39 and tonight I went out, had 4 beers and Mexican food. I feel like me neck is strangling my esophagus. After my consult Wed the 9th I hope I can get some of this off of me. Its way too much and I am so uncomfortable. I wonder if they use the weight at the first weigh in at the Doctor. Because if I have to keep up this weight till surgery I am going to drop dead! Boy am I full!!!!:wink2:

wow that's awesome that your appointment is moved closer, let me know if you want the numbers of the dr's that they recomend so you can start making your appointments...You should start soon...they are probably booked up till January already...the sooner the better.

AJnbilly: How are you? I think you had the surgery on the 2nd of Dec. I was thinking about you. When you're up to it let us know how it REALLY was. I know everyones experience is different, but curious to know how you are feeling and what you are able to eat at this time. Good Luck to you. Chris (cat lady)

Hey everyone I got banded by Dr. Giess on 10/7.

Chellz,

How much have you lost since you've been banded?

How long did it take from the initial consult with Dr. Geiss to get banded? How/What was the process?

Hello All...Happy Tuesday....I am finally starting to feel a little normal, its been a intresting week for me. Sorry I have not been around, I have been recovering. Surgery was ok, I am not going to lie there is some pain involved...Let me know what questions you guys have, I know there are many :)

Oh, I am so glad to hear you are feeling better - I really didn't expect it to be this soon, to be honest, so that is a nice suprise!

Congratulations on your 18lb loss already! That's great!!

So yes, I do have quite a few questions... Feel free to not answer all if you're not comfortable.

Did you stay overnight at the hospital?

Was Dr. Geiss able to make you feel comfortable before you went under?

Have you "slimed" or "pb" yet?

Are you uncomfortable all of the time? Is it due to the swelling or can you actually feel the band/port?

How has your digestive tract been handeling this change? Constipation? Diarrhea? Normal?

Are you feeling very weak? Are you able to walk around somewhat easily? Can you drive? Have you gone back to work?

Was it done laproscopically?

What is the followup regimen that Dr. Geiss has implimented?

I suppose that is all for now. I'm really just extremely happy that you are OK and that things seem to be going well for you. If there is anything you need, please let me know. :)
