  1. Wow amazing results. I was banded 10/09 as well....I'm 49 pounds down :-)
  2. I had a problem with thinning hair as well....what's helping me is Biotin, increasing my protein and I massage Castor oil on my sides and it started growing back. Good luck
  3. Congrats, I know the feeling. It's been awhile since I loved shopping as well, I went from 20 to 16 and I can actually enjoy trying on clothes :-)
  4. I can feel my port. I'm down 36 pounds. It doesn't stick out too much
  5. Thanks so much for the encouragement. I'm definitely a slave to my scale. I weigh myself every morning and night. I will be putting it away for a month. I have a trainer, so I do a different body part everyday. Inches I'm losing, I guess I equate weightloss with pounds instead of inches. A normal day for me is a Special K protein shake for breakfast, Speacial K cereal bar for a snack, Smart Ones for Lunch, snacks is either fat free pringles, fruit, wheat thins and laughing cow cheese. I work alot and somethings dinner isn't an option for me, but if I do have dinner salad, cereal or smart ones.
  6. Congrats, we're in the same boat.
  7. I live in Queens but I border Long Island and I've had a lot of the same problems. I tend to stick to Olive Gardens for soup and salads, in the city I've had Carmine's and Sofritos. Another piece of advice, I don't go anyway where I can't look up the menu online before I go. Good Luck
  8. I began my weightloss journey at 250 and I lost 36 pounds since my surgery on 10/7/2009. I am so discouraged. I have 4cc in a 10cc band. I feel like I'm stick at 214 pounds, but I ccan admit that I am going down in dress sizes, all my clothes are baggy and loose. I went from a 20 to a 16.....I know that's good, but I wish the scale wiould show my achievements. Yes, I go to the gym 5x week and I just got a fill giving 4cc 4/1/2010 and it is definitely helping, I'm actually starting to feel restriction. any advice
  9. sugar free puddings, protein shakes, soups, water, movies and pillows
  10. Congratulations.....wishing you continued success
  11. This is one of my biggest worries after losing weight, that my port will be visible..... ;-(
  12. I love muscle milk light and I add blueberries, strawberries or bananas.
  13. Congrats and good luck
  14. I had this procedure on 10/7 and it was done by Dr. Geiss......I have a small smiley face at my belly button. You can't even tell I had surgery.
  15. Hey michelle, sorry for the late response.....I started at 250, 235 day of surgery and currently 220. I'm going to Dr. Geiss office today for a fill and weigh-in. Thankfully enough my insurance didn't require a 6 month diet.....my consult was on 6/26 and my original date was 9/21, but my pcp didn't clear me in time, so it was moved to 10/7 due to a cancellation. The process takes how long as you want it. Before my consult, I had already scheduled most of my appointments with the cardio, pul, nut and psy. I was able to get have the sils procedure so I have a small incision at my belly button looks like a smiley face. Its learning how to eat. My aim is qnzdimelady718 if you want to know more. Good luck :-)

  20. Not sure how soon is too soon, but I had my surgery 10/7 and my doctor didn't allow me to go back to work until the 10/26.
