  1. My surgeon requires a week liquid diet and 1 night stay in the hospital.....every doctor is different.

  4. I got my approval same day and I had to call the doctor's office!!!!
  5. First I begin, by saying hi to all my fellow New Yorkers lol....Corinne, I did the same thing with having 3 in one day. The faster the better......My original surgeon date was 9/21, butmy pcp did not clear me, I rarely see him since my plan doesn't require referrals, but I had a physical by him tonight and my schedule is next.   6. I agree with everyone, you're definately going to get mied opinions. Stand firm on your decision and keep it moving......good luck
  7. Congrats, my biggest advice focus on getting requirements done and try to schedule 2 appointments in a day if you have to....wishing all the best

  9. its hard, but making it through.....I'm using muscle milk light as my protein shake, healthy choice soups, sugar and fat free puddings and shakes.....good luck every1
  10. My surgery is Oct 7th and I'm on my liquid diet now.....many blessings to everyone!!!!

  12. My surgeon required 1 night inpatient and my insurance approved it.
  13. My surgery is a week away as well and my preop is tomorrow.......I'm scared, nervous, but ready....I think lol

  15. Congrats on your decisions and every insurance/surgeon has different requirements. My surgeon required everything listed in my signature. Good luck and keep us posted :-)
  16. I couldn't find a psy either, that had Lap Band experience and I wasn't going to spend $250 on theirs. I ended up using a Dr. Ejaz, I had to pay $150, she's doesn't take insurance
  17. It's hard, but not as hard as I expected. I do get hunger headaches, but the protein shakes are good. I use Muscle milk light.
  18. I tested positive for it and now use a cpap machine to sleep, uncomfortable, but not for long lol
  19. :cursing:So after my first date of 9/21/2009 being cancelled, my new surgery date is 10/7/2009. I'm ready, I've decided to continue with the pre-op diet until surgery day. :biggrin:

  21. Thanks Lois, it's officially no surgery today, I'm now waiting for a new surgery date, but at least I was doing well on the preop diet lol.
  22. I completed all required tests, went to every appointment, information was sent to ins company and approved....I got a date for Monday and may have to cancel it.....I got a insurance policy that does not require referrals, so I rarely see my pcp....I got a letter from my surgeon's office stating the hospital needs medical clearance from pcp, I knew that was going to be a problem....I went to see them yesterday and said they won't clear me without labwork and if they send me for it, it takes a week to come back......way beyond pissed.....I already got the time off from work.....I'm calling the surgeon this morning and seeing if its really necessary, they got everything else including insurance approaval.....pray for me
