My band was seen floating!!!

Recommended Posts

I have had my band for about 6 years now, and in the last 2 years sometimes I can eat anything and other times, I can barely get Water down without having constant reflux. I had a hysterectomy about 6 months ago and my OB said he saw the "band" floating inside. I have tried to find a doctor in MN, but because they did not put it in, many doctors will not even see me for an appt. Has anyone ever had the band slip off completly? I cannot figure out if the band "slipped" off all the way, why do I still get the eating issues? Any thoughts???:scared2:

Is it possible he saw the tube 'floating' that connects to the band and the port? I can't imagine the band floating.

I sincerely hope that all works out for you and that everything is ok.

Go onto smartbandsters.com and ask Jessie. She is a nurse who not only works in a bariactric office that does ONLY lapbands but she has been banded for about 10 1/2 years herself. She can also let you know if she knows of anyone close to you that can help. It's a yahoo group.

Good luck.

I am not sure where you are in Minnesota but there is a great Bariatric center in Grand Forks ND that is right on the Minnesota boarder. www.altru.org I recommend Dr. Hape and Shellie wright very highly!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
