Any November 2009 Bandsters??

Hello all! I have an appointment Oct. 20th with my doctor and I will get my surgery date on that day. I was told by the office staff that it should be about two weeks from when I meet with him. Which means I will be a November 2009 Bandster. Anyone else out there yet with a prospective November surgery date? What are you going to do to kill time so you don't get too excited and jump out of your skin like I feel like I might!

Heidi, It's TOTALLY normal. Your body is recovering from the trauma of surgery. I am up almost 6 lbs since starting full liquids, and since I've not consumed more than 1200 calories per day, I know it's not 'real' weight. It's frustrating, but everyone keeps telling me that it'll start going back down once I start mushies and soft proteins.

Just remember, this is for the long haul. In a year, those 2 or 6 lbs won't make a bit of difference!

PS - My first fill isn't until 6 weeks post-op either. I'm ok way that, though, as I'd like to be completely healed before messing with my poor stomach again!

i know its just really frustrating to weigh and find out you put on when i lost 27pounds so far. you know even when i dream i still dont dream im thin im still fat in dreams lol. i soke to my nurse today she says it to do with not passing as often as well because not as much food going in not much being passed either or as often

Hello all... I had my one week post op check yesterday and I lost 12 lbs.. I feeling great!!

Evening November Knockouts!

I had blended turkey meat loaf for dinner tonight and it was HEAVEN!

Good Morning November Knockouts!! Since beginning my walking routine, I have been inspired to start a project that has been done before but still is very cool to me. To walk every street in Manhattan. Not sure how long it will take me if I dedicate a couple of hours each day. I walk anyway, I might as well make it interesting. I plan on blogging my experience along with pictures. I need a good map and good sneakers and I should be on my way. Starting Monday!!! As soon as I start my blog I will post a link.

Hello all my fellow Nov. Bandsters. My pre-op is now set for Oct. 29th. And surgury will be Nov. 2nd as of now. I can't wait and am really starting to get excited.

I was banded on November 17, 2009. I am currently looking for some good food recipes and dont know what to do, any ideas?

Hi ladyj0514...

I was banded on the 17th as well.

I found this book called " Eating Well After Weight Loss Surgery" that has wonderful recipes in it. You can get it on Amazon.

The weight is still continuing to drop. Not as as fast, but as long as it goes down I don't care. There are no side effects,or pain. I just feel so lucky. We had our company Holiday party last night and so many people gave me a big "pat on the back". That was the best morale booster possible. Ive been eating lots of mushies. My wife makes a pot roast soup and does the same with chicken and its pretty good. I'm a little over 2 weeks out now, and I went to a small amount of solids last night at the party, and I eat (couldnt eat more) a little paella and rice. 4 or 5 fork fulls and I was done! I cant get my first fill until Jan 11. Its the first available date the fill Dr has available. I don't feel like like flying back to Tijuana at this time. So I'll just be extra careful until then.

i ws banded on 27th november and im on food now, the problem is i dont really feel any restriction, i have my first fill the day after you on the 12 january i am eating a lot of salmon and smoked makrel, chicken and tonight a pork chop some mash and veg with thick gravy was lovely, finding 20 minutes to eat my food really difficult to do but trying as best as i can. i get alot of acid if i drink pure orange juice but other than that everything going down well and not had anything stuck yet.

Tour....good for you! Its great when people notice isnt it?

Heidi...I was banded 11.25 and am still on mushies but also have no restriction either. We will after our first fill and for me that will be just after Christmas.

I just made peanut butter cup peanut butter cookies with my son! Mmmm do they smell good but I am being good :willy_nilly: We went out to our club for brunch with Santa this year and they did not have the cookie party for the kids like they did last year so thats why we cooked them at home .... Hmmm the house smells yummy!

LOL I made Pb cookies the other day for the kids... Oh my... I have had 2 ..... normally by now I would have easily polished off a dozen or more!

Oh for sure....before my band I would have eaten the whole tray! I am going to have one today but am saving it till tonight so I am less likely to eat more than that!
