  1. My pre-op testing fees where included in the hospital fee. I had to pay the hospital, the doctor and the anesthesiologist. After paying all that I got a bill for $40.00 for the radiologist who read my chest xray. Your doctors office should be able to give you this info since it various.
  2. Got my first fill today... I'm excited about this journey! So far so good. Hope everyone else is doing good. Keep up the good work.

  4. I think if I drank I would be flat on the floor too... with the lack of all the food that use to be in my belly to absorb most of the alcohol.. I can't even imagine. But I will have a little sparkling wine on new years... we'll see how that goes...LOL.
  5. I'm starting regular foods next Tues. I'll be 3wks post op
  6. Do what makes you happy. I was 200lbs and am 5'2 when I got banded. BMI 36.6. Many will say that I was to "small" to get this done. Screw them. I have to admit, I went on a eating spree before I had to start my pre-op diet. I was 197 and went up to 200!! I don't have any advice on how to gain the weight, but I wish you luck. I think its better for our TAX DOLLARS to pay for her surgery now, then having to pay the thousands of dollars that will come LATER from health problems of being overweight!!!!!
  7. I'm on puree food now, yes I am eating and drinking all my required proteins but I don't feel full with only 2-3oz of food anymore. Is it ok to eat a little more?? I also noticed I stopped losing weight, but the doctor told me this would be normal until I get my first fill in 4 more weeks. What can I do if I am not feeling full. Also I get hungry within 1.5 hours. HELP!!!
  8. Started puree foods today... WOW.. it was so yummy! :scared2: I would have never said that before I was banded.

  11. thanks for the replies. I think I ate 3oz instead of 2 of pudding for lunch so I'm guessing that is where the pain is coming from.
  12. I've called my nutritionist to see if I can start full liquids, I am hungry all the time now. Also when I swallow liquids I get a tight sensation in my tummy and some pain. I have also been burping with pain, and I do drink very slow. Is this all normal?? Also I have no had a bowel movement in 6 days... I'm starting to worry. I also wonder is the pain I am feeling is because I got a cold.
