Recommended Posts

oh, I wish I could say I was at my sweet spot!!

I really have very little restriction, except for breads, but I've experienced the "whoa, I ate too much too fast" on more than one occasion! hehe

And I've only PB'd once, and it was mostly Water, but that was early on... now my main problem is that I really don't have any problems, I guess!

I go today for my second fill. He only did 3cc's the first time (I have the smaller lap band), so I'm hoping for 1 more cc today.

Just some "food" for thought :blushing:... I've read on hear in a few places that when you PB (especially several times ) that your stomach swells much like it does after surgery. Think back to when we first came home and did not want food for a week or two. Well... the statement on here was that after that kind of episode we need to go back on liquids for (get this not til the next bite ) but for a couple of days. I have not yet PBed but my hubbie who is further out has several times as a result of eating like it might be the last food on the planet! Anywho.. thought this might help and also for me after fills my doc says back on soft for two days to let my stomach again calm down.

Best wishes friends!

I thought I was immune to throwing up, but over the weekend I had some rice with my chicken. The chicken went down OK, but the rice backed up like it was a square peg trying for a round hole. Had a horrible stomach ache, then had to run to the bathroom. Once the rice came up, I was immediately OK to finish the chicken. No problems since.

This is a weird one...help!! Since my last fill (7 cc..banded November 2007)- I throw up if I sleep on my back. How weird is that? I have had acid reflux when I was too tight before, but this is ONLY when I sleep on my back. Its scary. Going to the Dr on Tuesday. Anyone had a similar experience?

All I can say is holy crap, I never knew someone could salivate SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I've finally gotten good restriction with my band, but unfortunately all those months of no restriction got me thinking I could keep eating fast, as long as I chewed well.

Let me tell you, NO MORE!

Now, I take it seriously when they say wait 5 minutes between bites. I used to think that was insane! I mean, who can really wait that long between bites???!!

Someone who's thrown up the most disgusting looking slimiest nasty shit in the whole world... that's who.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
