Confidence?or Cocky

Recommended Posts

When I loose weight especially weight lost that is noticeable to other people. I gain this confidence as if I can do ANYTHING. Last night at my TOPS meeting, no one wanted to volunteer to be on the anniversary committee so I did. Then no one volunteered to be on the game committee, again I did. I was thinking, “what am I thinking” what makes me think I can do this by myself. But you know what, I am going to do it and it will be done right.

I find myself walking and sitting a little more erect. I pay a little more attention to my hair, my overall appearance.

I have lost 44 pounds but sometimes I act like I have lost 90. Sometimes I will see a female with an awesome body or someone is giving me the “you are fat look” and it snaps me back to reality. I remember that I may have lost 44 pounds but I am still ((morbidly obese)) as an ignorant doctor once wrote on my chart years ago. I still need to loose 165 pounds. Hey, I just realized I need to loose 165 pounds to my most extreme goal. I didn’t know that, I have always been able to say; I need to loose at least 200 pounds. I didn’t know how close my goal is. Wowwww. Hum that’s a thought I did not expect to come out of this……

Congratulations on your loss and good job taking on the responsibilities. You are doing great and I bet you look awesome. Its not always the size but how you carry yourself that projects to others. Keep up the good work. Celeste

Oh! how you carry yourself, how you project yourself to others is critiical!

People usually think I'm about two inches taller than I actually am. Oh to be 5'7".... I'm usually very confident, and people generally respond positively to that.

Don't ever lose that feeling!!!

No matter what you weigh your confidence level should be at its highest.

BTW, you CAN do anything B)

Cocky is good. Enjoy! And show them how it's done on that committee thing. Don't be afraid to delegate. Just cause nobody wanted to lead doesn't mean they don't have to work!

:]

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
