I had my first fill today and I didn't get numbed. I didn't even feel the pinch when they inserted the needle, I only felt the pressure of him pushing it in, but it didn't hurt at all.

I have had 9 fills and one tad unfil. Either way, my port is so close to the top of my skin, doesn;'t have to go very far. At the beginning, He did not even ask if I wanted to numb, now he does. I pass, unless he has it ready to go..

The first time no, but the second time yes I did! I am a baby and hate pain. I didnt even feel the pain meds. And when he pulled out that big needle I almost fell of the table..LOL..But it was way better with it numb!

I had problems with my band almost immediately. I swelled more than they expected me to. 48 hours after my surgery, I had to go back and have about 3 cc removed from my band. I didn't feel a thing. Honest, and I'm a whimp.

The hardest part is what we think it will be like. The reality is completely different.

Good luck.

Sheri

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
