This is my first thread.

I attended two seminars in the past, and chickened out. Thinking that I could lose the weight myself. I was working out at the gym and injured my knee, to the point of needing surgery. Now, I haven't been able to lose any weight - I fear messing up the other.

I found a doctor in Troy and liked him. I decided to go forward with the surgery. My coworker had it done by this doctor, and I've watched her success. I feel confident with this doctor.

I passed the psychological evaluation, and I have the EGK, Cardio/stress test/and motility test this upcoming week. On Monday, August 10, I meet again with the surgeon and hopefully will be scheduled for surgery the week before Labor Day.

I'm getting pretty excited about being able to be in complete control of my weight. I have a supportive boyfriend, but I can tell he's worried sick about this extreme decision - who can blame him?

I'm starting to prep for this liquid diet, which I have to be on for three weeks due to my weight. Any suggestions what works well is greatly appreciated.

This next week will be crazy with appointments every other day. I just hope I'm not a livid crazy women during this.

I was on a pre-op diet for three weeks, too; however, my surgeon doesn't require a purely liquid diet. We might be able to help you better with what "works well" if you let us know what your surgeon's requirements are. I was able to eat veggies, lean Protein, and the like, but many cannot :)

My boyfriend has been completely supportive and wonderful despite the fact that he didn't want me to have the surgery done at all.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
