Hey Erin,

Congrats on your surgery yesterday - I've been reading your posts pre-op and was thinking about u yesterday! I've not had my surgery yet so dont have an answer for you about your gas pains, sorry. Good luck with your band - I'm very excited about getting mine so I may have some questions for you in the hopefully not too distant future! Take care of yourself!

Yes the pains will go away. WALK WALK WALK WALK AND WALK some more. I know it may hurt right now but that's really the only way to get the gas out. I slept in a recliner the first four days because I couldn't get comfortable in a bed. If you don't have a recliner, I'd suggest adding lots of pillows and get to a reclined position instead of a flat.

I hope you feel better soon, welcome to band land!

Stacy

Hey Erin, glad to hear from you and you are finally banded. Congrats! The gas will go away and you will be fine. Try the gasx strips and again as bashful said, walk a lot. You will do great. Keep posting so we know how you are doing.

the gasx doesn't upset your stomach? Was going to take one last night but I was afraid it would make me sick or something. I get up to walk every hour, when I need to go to the bathroom or when my back aches, I'm tired a lot and when I drink Water it's good but I'm afraid ill drink more than what Im suppossdd to be, so I should take gasx? How was your second day of being banded?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
