Where here....And she's banded!

Recommended Posts

Agnes did GREAT! She was in and out in 30 min and the doctor said that it could not have gone better. She was PASSED OUT! to say the least after surgery. Got her up walked around for about 5 min, then back to sleep she went.

We meet some WONDERFUL ladies who were getting the surgery done today and they were great (and so was there guests) So thank you ladies for spending time with us.

She's still there, could have come back but she had her own TV and was confe so she decided to stay till morning.

So you all have another one that just joined your elite club and I do have to say that I am proud of her and each and everyone of you and my heart goes out to all of you for your efforts and hard work.

Here it begins and it will only get better from here. Thank you all and will be sure to keep in touch

Love ya,

Erick (Enote) and wife Agnes

P.S.

Do me a favor dont ever do this surgery alone! Take a friend, a loved one, a co-worker, hell who ever. I saw a guy getting the surgery and he was all alone and my heart sank for him. Now he could not have had anyone but this was a VERY nice guy and I know he had some friends.

So my point is PLEASE take someone cause I could not imagine having to do this by my self. And if you have no one, pay for my airfare and I will be by your side...:smile2:

What a nice thing to say --"pay for my airfare, and I will be by your side!" There was a woman who was all alone when I was banded.

Congrats to Agnes! I hope she is still feeling well.

I was all alone, through choice.

I'm grouchy when in pain, or stressed, or whatever, and just wanted to do it by myself!

You are a special man and an awesome support system to your wife! I congratulate you both on a wonderful life together. And thank you for not becoming discouraged when some people tried to tell Agnes to reconsider.

I had a support system during the surgery and I didnt expect for everyone who was there to show up but I was so relieved and recovery has been wonderful. A positive outlook does make a difference.

Best wishes to you and your wife.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
