  1. Protien, Protien, Protien....its a must you need to take in at least 30 grams a day. There is also a pill that you can take called Multi Enzyme, that helps break up the protein and spread it through out the body.
  2. Are you drinking alot of fruit juices? I was banded July 8 and the nutritionist told me that after day 3 you should start dliuting your juices with 1/2 water or it will cause diarreha (bc of the too much sugar). Try finding juices that are lower in sugar as well. Also, remember if you are in the liquid phase, you are pretty much emptying your bowels.. so when you do go, there wont be much substance. Hope that helps
  3. Were her right now...and you dont have to worry at all. Its VERY nice and its just like the states. You have to understand that US is like 10 miles north so they get a LOT of $$$ from the states with the people coming down and it shows. You will be picked up from the airport as soon as you land, taken to the center to fill a few forms, then taken to your hotel. Next morning go to OCC, see the doctors and by the way everyone is GREAT. You will be in surgery for about 30 min. I hear that opperation only takes about 10 min if that. My wife is at OCC right now. Also dont worry about calls...when your in the room you have free out going and incoming calls also free wifi. You made a GREAT choice in seeing Dr. Ortiz. He is a GREAT guy and really cares for his job. Good luck let us know how it goes. Read my other post on Post-op called ( "where here...shes banded"
  4. Agnes did GREAT! She was in and out in 30 min and the doctor said that it could not have gone better. She was PASSED OUT! to say the least after surgery. Got her up walked around for about 5 min, then back to sleep she went. We meet some WONDERFUL ladies who were getting the surgery done today and they were great (and so was there guests) So thank you ladies for spending time with us. She's still there, could have come back but she had her own TV and was confe so she decided to stay till morning. So you all have another one that just joined your elite club and I do have to say that I am proud of her and each and everyone of you and my heart goes out to all of you for your efforts and hard work. Here it begins and it will only get better from here. Thank you all and will be sure to keep in touch Love ya, Erick (Enote) and wife Agnes P.S. Do me a favor dont ever do this surgery alone! Take a friend, a loved one, a co-worker, hell who ever. I saw a guy getting the surgery and he was all alone and my heart sank for him. Now he could not have had anyone but this was a VERY nice guy and I know he had some friends. So my point is PLEASE take someone cause I could not imagine having to do this by my self. And if you have no one, pay for my airfare and I will be by your side...:smile2:
  5. Thank you all so much...head over to the Post surgery I will fill ya in there!
  6. Well we have made the trip, and we saw the facility and we are in the hotel room. Tomorrow is the day Agnes gets the surgery.... She's very excited and looking forward to it...I will say that OCC is VERY NICE! And so far we could not expect better service. Was met at the airport, took us 15 min to get across the border and to the center, filled out a few forms then off to the hotel. Which is very nice. I think we would have been happier at the Marriott (FYI) Ohh and for all you out of towners out there, the center has FREE Wifi and you can make out going and take incoming calls free of charge. They really know how to treat a paitent. I will post tomorrow to let you know how the surgery went and how she is doing. Have a good night talk with you tomorrow, Erick
  7. Isopure & Whey are they best... Isopure has a strange chalky taste after you finish it but it packs 50 grams of protien for two scoops. Whey is 24 grams for Protein for one scoop and tastes a lot better... I suggest going to Vitamin shop, talking with some of the peeople there, though you want something with LOW CARBS and LOW SUGER...which is why isopure is the best option. Also get a shaker to help you mix it up...mixing it with a spoon will not break down the clups well. Good Luck, Erick (Enote)
  8. I agree with saffy...I mean you stepped up and decided to change your life. She can't knock you for that, but she may be jealous cause you are making this change. My opinion...If she was a true friend she would sit there and share your same joy and happiness. That is a true friend! Sometimes you see a persons true side, just takes certain things to figure them out. Good luck with everything! Erick (Enote)
  9. Look for different exercises to shock your body into losing more weight. Try doing high intence running on a tredmill or bike. Check out this site...they have a lot of great ideas on exercises that might help...also stay focused don't give up and you will be fine. www.bodybuilding.com Good luck, Erick (Enote)
  10. Good luck! Make sure you get back on here let us know how your doing... My wife is one week from tomorrow.
  11. Sorry to hear that!!! I can't believe how hard it must be to go through the up's and down's of emotions trying to get this surgery done. Keep fighting it! Work your PCP hard and get all the stuff you need to get this to work for you. May take 2, 3 or 4 times but beat these insurance companies down. My wife is doing it here in one week though we are self pay. We knew that the insurance company would not cover the LB. Good luck and keep us touch Erick (Enote)
  12. Wow...what a good responce I am getting. These are all VERY helpful hints and STUFF I would have NEVER of thought about so its good to know. And thank you all for the kind words...we do work pretty well as a couple and I know for sure that she would be there by my side every step of the way. So im going now to get that heating pad, lol....along with other things! If anyone else out there has any other thoughts, comments, or ideas please fill free to let us know. Have a good weekend everyone! Erick (Enote)
