  1. Protien, Protien, Protien....its a must you need to take in at least 30 grams a day. There is also a pill that you can take called Multi Enzyme, that helps break up the protein and spread it through out the body.

    Diarrhea

Are you drinking alot of fruit juices? I was banded July 8 and the nutritionist told me that after day 3 you should start dliuting your juices with 1/2 water or it will cause diarreha (bc of the too much sugar). Try finding juices that are lower in sugar as well. Also, remember if you are in the liquid phase, you are pretty much emptying your bowels.. so when you do go, there wont be much substance. Hope that helps
  3. Agnes did GREAT! She was in and out in 30 min and the doctor said that it could not have gone better. She was PASSED OUT! to say the least after surgery. Got her up walked around for about 5 min, then back to sleep she went. We meet some WONDERFUL ladies who were getting the surgery done today and they were great (and so was there guests) So thank you ladies for spending time with us. She's still there, could have come back but she had her own TV and was confe so she decided to stay till morning. So you all have another one that just joined your elite club and I do have to say that I am proud of her and each and everyone of you and my heart goes out to all of you for your efforts and hard work. Here it begins and it will only get better from here. Thank you all and will be sure to keep in touch Love ya, Erick (Enote) and wife Agnes P.S. Do me a favor dont ever do this surgery alone! Take a friend, a loved one, a co-worker, hell who ever. I saw a guy getting the surgery and he was all alone and my heart sank for him. Now he could not have had anyone but this was a VERY nice guy and I know he had some friends. So my point is PLEASE take someone cause I could not imagine having to do this by my self. And if you have no one, pay for my airfare and I will be by your side...:smile2:
  4. Well we have made the trip, and we saw the facility and we are in the hotel room. Tomorrow is the day Agnes gets the surgery.... She's very excited and looking forward to it...I will say that OCC is VERY NICE! And so far we could not expect better service. Was met at the airport, took us 15 min to get across the border and to the center, filled out a few forms then off to the hotel. Which is very nice. I think we would have been happier at the Marriott (FYI) Ohh and for all you out of towners out there, the center has FREE Wifi and you can make out going and take incoming calls free of charge. They really know how to treat a paitent. I will post tomorrow to let you know how the surgery went and how she is doing. Have a good night talk with you tomorrow, Erick

    Any Recent Mexico Bandsters?

Were her right now...and you dont have to worry at all. Its VERY nice and its just like the states. You have to understand that US is like 10 miles north so they get a LOT of $$$ from the states with the people coming down and it shows. You will be picked up from the airport as soon as you land, taken to the center to fill a few forms, then taken to your hotel. Next morning go to OCC, see the doctors and by the way everyone is GREAT. You will be in surgery for about 30 min. I hear that opperation only takes about 10 min if that. My wife is at OCC right now. Also dont worry about calls...when your in the room you have free out going and incoming calls also free wifi. You made a GREAT choice in seeing Dr. Ortiz. He is a GREAT guy and really cares for his job. Good luck let us know how it goes. Read my other post on Post-op called ( "where here...shes banded"

    Where here....

Thank you all so much...head over to the Post surgery I will fill ya in there!
  7. Isopure & Whey are they best... Isopure has a strange chalky taste after you finish it but it packs 50 grams of protien for two scoops. Whey is 24 grams for Protein for one scoop and tastes a lot better... I suggest going to Vitamin shop, talking with some of the peeople there, though you want something with LOW CARBS and LOW SUGER...which is why isopure is the best option. Also get a shaker to help you mix it up...mixing it with a spoon will not break down the clups well. Good Luck, Erick (Enote)
  8. I agree with saffy...I mean you stepped up and decided to change your life. She can't knock you for that, but she may be jealous cause you are making this change. My opinion...If she was a true friend she would sit there and share your same joy and happiness. That is a true friend! Sometimes you see a persons true side, just takes certain things to figure them out. Good luck with everything! Erick (Enote)

    Skinny Ass Boyfriend

Hey there ladies I sent a few messages a bit ago, but reading this I thought I would give you some thoughts from the "skinny" husband here... Ok, I LOVE my wife and am VERY VERY supportive about this. But as for a husband its not that fact I dont want her to lose the weight, I want her to happy about her self. BUT---Here is the one thing that goes through mens or womens minds. "Once you lose the weight and you get all that attention you will start to enjoy it and find something better" It is true.... I have talked to my wife and we have joked, once she loses the weight she will be wearing different clothes to make her self look sexier and (some personal ones for me ) lol But here is the thing, BOTH have to be ready for this, he just may be scared that once you lose the weight that you will not want him anymore and want someone better. Now thats just my thoughts some could agree some could not and I dont want to be rude towards anyone. But I will say its going to be great when me and my wife are walking and guys are checking her out...and you know what I will be thinking "Yep thats right she's with me" Just reasure him that he is the one you love and the one you want that you are doing this for your self and your health...it's all how you explain it to him. The more you do the more he will understand. Good luck Pnk! Erick (Enote)

Check out this site...they have a lot of great ideas on exercises that might help...also stay focused don't give up and you will be fine. www.bodybuilding.com Good luck, Erick (Enote)

And I just read your post again!!! Sorry YOU ARE GETTING IT DONE AND GOOD FOR YOU!!!!! I have a thread on here I started about Husbands and wifes and what they can do to help...have him read that. Show him your TRUE SIDE!!! You need to stop hiding hun! That weight will come off and with that your true personality needs to come out as well. Start being the person you are on the inside and out! Maybe once he sees that then he will understand!

    Skinny Ass Boyfriend

Hey there, Well my wife is getting the LP done a week from now and like your BF, I am blessed with a high metabolism. I TRY to work out 4-5 days a week and also take protien shakes and suppliments to help me achive my goals. My wife has done so much to get this weight off and it's been very hard for her and frustrating to say the least FOR THE BOTH OF US. I use the analogy like this. Sitting on a slot machine and sticking $$$ in but NEVER getting anything in return. And worst off you can never leave that machine. Lap Band lets you leave that machine behind. Your BF needs to understand how this weight is effecting you, he needs to see first hand how happy you will be to once you see the weight come off. I think you should pull up this web site and read some of the stories on here...see some of the threads that people have posted and see how they struggle. Most important!!!! And I can not stress this enough. DO THIS FOR YOUR SELF! My wife came to me about this WE researched it and WE agreed that it was a good idea to go through with it. But my wife is not doing this for me, she is doing it for her self. Don't you for one second let him keep you trapped in that body any longer then you have to. Get out there do the research and if you find out you want to do that Lap Band then do it. I KNOW that you will be a happier, sexier, and more confident person once you get to where you want to be. Just have to sit him down and explain it to him. Once you to start to argue then there's no need to go on with the conversation. Make him see it.. Good Luck, Erick (Enote)
  15. So what should I be ready for??? Will her head start to spin? should I pad the walls? Move all sharp objects incase she wants to throw things? Of course I am joking...but what kinda of things should I expect to see the first 20 days post surgery? I have heard give her space, which im fine with cause im a video game junkie...lol. Will she be sleeping a lot due to the lack of food? Is there anything thing as for meds that I should have on hand? Should I not eat in front of her? Should I make sure there are no sweets or sodas in the house? I mean I know and she knows that she will NOT be able to have them but its an out of sight out of mind thing? I know this may sound like stupid questions but you just never know. Figure who better to ask then you fine people...well if you have ANY information please feel free to let me know. Anyways, Have a good one... Erick (Enote)
  16. Good luck! Make sure you get back on here let us know how your doing... My wife is one week from tomorrow.
  17. Enote

    Soo upset...

Sorry to hear that!!! I can't believe how hard it must be to go through the up's and down's of emotions trying to get this surgery done. Keep fighting it! Work your PCP hard and get all the stuff you need to get this to work for you. May take 2, 3 or 4 times but beat these insurance companies down. My wife is doing it here in one week though we are self pay. We knew that the insurance company would not cover the LB. Good luck and keep us touch Erick (Enote)
  18. Wow...what a good responce I am getting. These are all VERY helpful hints and STUFF I would have NEVER of thought about so its good to know.
