Recommended Posts

I have been banded for a year now and have lost my boobies, my booty, by legs and thighs and I still have this big belly! Anyone suffering from this and for those who are not (HOW IN THE HECK DID YOU LOOSE YOUR BELLY FAT):frown:

Same here...the belly just won't go away! I'm a year out and love my results but I would love to beat the belly fat!

I have the same problem and as I understand it, no amount of exercise will tone loose skin, and plastic surgery (aka tummy tuck) is the only thing that will get rid of it. I have loose skin elsewhere, too, but if I can afford it one of these days I would like to have a Tummy Tuck. My butt and boobs deflated, too. I would like (if I had the money) to take the roll from my tummy and fill out my boobs and/or my butt. My tailbone gets sore because I don't have enought padding. I see some marvelous before and after pictures in plastic surgery ads or tv programs. All you need is a big pot of money.

Me too - my legs are thinner - my arms a little - down two sizes in jeans but my stomach still sticks out like I am 6 months pregnant - I guess it will be the last thing to go - very disappointing because my legs were fine just my stomach was so big - I feel like I am doing something wrong - only down 20 in 11 months - I don't think I am eating too much at all so I guess just slow metabolism.

My boobs, believe it or not, have gone down a band size but up a cup size. I have gone from a Lane Bryant 6 right fit blue jeans to a 1 right fit blue jeans. All this and I STILL HAVE A BIG OLE ROLL of fat on my stomach. I am teaching summer school to save money for a TT next summer!!!!!

Mine is not loose skin on my stomach - I don't have any loose skin - it is fat underneath the muscle that makes my stomach stick out - I am wondering if it is ever going to go away and how I let it get this way in the first place - very depressing.

My belly was the last place the weight came off of. I was losing and losing and still had a large stomach and FINALLY now that im in the home stretch i can see a BIG difference in my stomach area. I actually wore a shirt tucked in over the weekend for the first time in i bet close to 13 years.

If its fat that you need to lose and not loose skin then:

Cardio

Cardio

and more cardio

Something really HARD - like interval training, interpsersed with longer sessions of steady state stuff. Depending on your fitness it may be fast walking, but if that's relatively OK for you then you need to push past that and run or do something equally intense.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
